When I run FFXI sandboxed anytime I enter anything (chat or game command) it automatically unloads spellcast. Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? I tried searching but I couldn't figure it out.

What's the most effective method for testing Double Attack values? Could you use the ~100% Crit test method, cept with DA rather than crit? Assuming I can get that much DA on DRG anyway.

DA wasnt uncapped in the patch that let crit rate/damage go uncapped, its capped at presumably 50%?

Sooo, this doesn't happen when you don't sandbox?

SC usually does the crash on any action thing when you're wearing an item that's not in the resources,. Try updating your resources, and reloading SC. Maybe one set of resources it still out of date. My best guess anyway. GL.

It is difficult to get that much DA on any job, let alone DRG. That would be the easiest way tp test, though.

You can get a >80% DA rate, so 100% is likely possible.

Yeah, I looked into DRG's max DA rate shortly after asking. Seems like I could get 74% max, with gear I don't have. so, I just went and spammed 500~ jumps instead. <,<

For samurai: starting to build it back up, but not looking into building masa (interests are elsewhere with weapon building right now). Question is, do I go with shoha (tp bonus gk) or stardriver (drayo couse) for my goto WS? Data buried under a bunch of BS elsewhere that I'm not seeing right now.

It is still remarkably expensive, mostly as a legacy piece I think.

/war (10), Trial polearm (11 I think?), duplus grip (3), Sceamol Band (5), Portus Collar (3), Drake Earring (5), Brutal Earring (5), Kudzu Aketon (3), Lncr. Vmbrc. +2 (4), Ambuscade Ring (1), Sljor Ring (1), Atheling Mantle (3), Anguinus Belt (1), Whirlwind Dirs (3), Phorcys Schuhs (3). Then 3 10% DA atmas to get you to 91. You can get another 20 each from a cor or smn if you got someone to help. So in all reality you could hit 131 with a little help which leaves room for whatever testing you were planning and not best gear for that

The problem is that he wanted to test a weapon. Secondary problem is.that COR roll and SMN potency are not precisely determined. Same with the drink.

Well even taking weapon out assuming the others are correct and not even using the drink at all that still gives you 120 . Even some wiggle room would leave that above 100... unless he was testing if it gave double attack then that might be more problematic. That said given all the stacking even a drg can do guess it shouldn't be too hard to percisely determine those things no? Well for those who have acess to those jobs

Yeah, you can. I'm trying to skillup MNK myself right now...the problem isn't countering, it's that MNKs have a B+ in evasion so I keep dodging all those mandys. ;(

There's a lot of that gear I don't have. My max with what I have available was +71. It'd be +80 if I wasn't missing any gear. And like byrth said, was testing a weapon, so I couldn't use magian.

I was just trying to find a efficient way to precisely measure the DA value.

Ended up just doing 500~ jumps. Not perfectly accurate, but enough to satisfy my curiosity. Said Test

Correct, if I load with my normal windower I am fine but if I try to use sandbox whenever I enter anything into chat it unloads spellcast. I'll try updating anyways though.

Edit: After updating resources still have the problem.

Does anyone have sun waters to donate (test server) or the cactus pet for BST that can do tests using the test server? How accurate is 1k needles? Is the damage considered piercing? Is the damage subject to mob PDT?
