IIRC this type of thing has a simple fix having to do with spellcast or something.. but I'm unable to use Fantod on BST. It just fails to register, as if I were using a spell/ability that wasn't on the job I was currently using.
halp? Thanks

irrc, that's cause by SC parsing fantod as the blu spell rather than the BST ja. Then it attempts to auto correct your command prefix to /ma, like it thinks it should be.
I don't recall the code to fix it off the top of my head. But I recall seeing it posted on here before. If no one posts it after a while I'll try to put something together.
Use input /raw /petcommand (or w/e is the normal way to use those moves). As previously mentioned, you do attempt the BLU equivalent when using the spell.
Do you have to kill TEs to get relic armor to drop? Just spent an entire hour in dyna valk and only got 1 piece (with th2).
Questions about soloing on Dragoon!:
I was messing around soloing stuff on Dragoon, but when I tried more difficult monsters I started getting into a lot of trouble. I have a full HP+ and Wyvern HP+/breath potency set. Unfortunately I play a tarutaru, so my trigger HP, even with 800+ HP in gear, is only a little over 1000. I realized pretty quickly that if I trigger a breath at 1000 and sit around in full wyvern HP/potency I end up getting clocked pretty hard before the breath lands.
If you have experience with this, would you recommend only equipping Wyrm Armet +2 for breaths? My maximum HP is only 1,300, so I don't really need an extremely potent cure. Also, because my HP is so low, on difficult monsters I can pretty much trigger a healing breath every two hits... this gets annoying pretty quickly. I have over 2000 HP in my max HP set; should I maybe find a balance between breath potency and HP+, and then ride that HP buffer instead of switching back to PDT?
Take 50%HP + DMG/hit and use that to determine the maximum Wyvern breath bonus gear needed.
My question is general: About Multi Attack ( double triple Quad)
When those stats are good for weapons skills?
IE. If we take Evisceration which is 5 Hits WS. Would a triple attack could make it do 8 hits?
I'm not sure how it work :/

Next page, Folypaw's post shows the HBIV multiplier.
Thanks very much.
First, what are you fighting? Second, what are you subbing?
If you're getting trashed by physical DMG, try /blu(if you aren't already.) Cocoon is about the most potent defensive buff DRG/MAGE can use. Just about everything else you can get on a mage sub is gimped due to low skill, or casts so slow you can't get off a cast during a fight. Cocoon is fast, cheap(10 MP) and gives +50% def. Also, the slow from sprout smack does land sometimes, which can ease things up a bit. And it's only 6 mp with 0.5 sec cast time, so it's a good trigger spell anyway. /BLU can also self haste with refueling. Fast casting, 5 min duration. 10% haste.
I wouldn't want to leave HP gear on, post HB. If you need to do anything else, it'd come off anyway. Rebuff, jump, ws, etc.
As for how much wyvern HP to use, you also have to consider any dmg the mob might do while the breath is charging. Sure, you might cap hp from your trigger point, but will you still cap after he hits/crits/WSs you while it's charging?
That being said, you could trike a balance between potency and PDT for the post trigger charge period. Retain the pieces with the largest boosts, and stack PDT everywhere else. You'll probly wanna keep at least Armet+2, and lancer's torque. And probably drachen brais+1 and Wyrm greaves +2.
I can't recall off the top of my head how much a HB with those pieces would cure. But if you still cap from even low HP, then Add more PDT.
If you use spellcast you can set it up so you use less HP+ gear on trigger, and more PDT when you're lower on HP. I have it set so if I'm really low(~35%) when an HB triggers It uses PDT+Armet+2, to keep me alive long enough for the breath to fire.
I'm considering building a Gandiva for my RNG. At this time, I'm not willing to build a relic for RNG, but would like a better weapon than Vision Bow. Is Gandiva decent or is it total shit?
Arma + Last Stand is still quite potent. You'll have to merit Last Stand anyways once relic appears. In general, marksmanship is better than archery though. In addition, Arma is less of an upgrade per level (Since ammo is the majority of base damage), so if you decide to wait at LV85 until relic, you're "less gimp" by that standard.
Evisceration is 5 hits, as stated. Let's asume you're dual wielding - that adds 1 guaranteed off-hand hit, so you have 6 guaranteed meele hits per WS. 8-hit cap still applies, thus triple attack and quad attack can not occur when using Evisceration and dual wielding. If you were dingle wielding (RDM/WAR? BRD/WAR?) you still have a chance for 1 triple attack to accur, bringing you up to 8 hits total.
Similarly, using quad-attack gear for, say, Resolution (5-hits) would be pointless, because it would never proc.
Wha? Where'd that extra hit on all those WSs come from?
Some spells shared between bst pets and bluemages may attempt to cast the other, ie: //wildcarrot on BST will attempt /ma "Wild Carrot" or vice versa -Adding this snippet to your bst.xml will convert all ready commands, including those doubled by bluemagic to the correct /pet form:
<if mode="or" type="Monster" skill="bluemagic"> -Do all your gearswaps for ready commands here-<cancelspell/> <command>input /raw /pet "%spell" %spelltarget</command> </if>
Copied straight from Radec's site. He showed me this a few days ago because I was having the same problem!
Has statustimer been acting wonky for anyone? On one of my computers it works fine but on the two others it crashes POL if I load it.
