Pretty sure you still have to install all the expansions for registry reasons unless you know what you're doing, but you could probably copy over your install to avoid the file check.

Oh, and the abyssea expansions, I only got 1/3 when I stopped. I guess I can buy the remaining 2 via POL?

I got no steam or anything. So the price will probably not be cheap lol

You missed the recent sale so you're probably going to be stuck paying $20 regardless, but if you see the Ultimate Collection: Abyssea edition anywhere for cheap, using that registration code would activate any missing expansions.

So by the looks of it, I can buy this, get allllllllll the codes, and then use it seperately? Is that how it works?

This will be handy thinking about it. if I reactivate the second account, I can use the addon scenarios codes etc on it.

It'll give you 2 codes only - one to active *every* expansion so far, which sadly can't be split over 2 accounts, and 1 to give you a hat.

Once used a all in one code is used up. Can't use for another account on ones you have.

EDIT: So, I tried searching, can't find it. A while back ... maybe within the last 12 months, I believe someone posted a trick/method to get into your POL mail easily to clear it out if you forgotten the password. Does anyone still have that method/link/poster who posted it? I recalled a lot of people replying they were very happy with it.

Log into your account and look for POL PW. Never tried personally, but that was the idea.

How do I update ffxi?

I haven't reactivated yet so I can't log in, but I've installed the game onto my drive. I go through POL to try to run a file check, but ffxi isn't an available option, only POL viewer and tetra master

If you've installed it, it should be there. However, you can log in and perform the update normally even before you reactivate.

I'd try re-installing XI. It should be letting you check version without an active content ID. If it's not, and it also isn't showing up in the Check Files area, I imagine that's because something fucked up and it isn't installed properly.

Just said fuck it and copy/pasted my folder from my old HDD and FFXI popped up. Lol file check is so much faster on an SSD

I recently returned from a long break and am currently getting spell cast sorted again. I remember using a program that exported the gear I was currently wearing in xml format, so it could be pasted directly into your spell cast xml.

I am struggling to find this program, anyone know of it or a similar one?

Reinstalling FFXI on new PC

A while ago I remembered someone basically saying just install POL and Vanilla FFXI, then copy pasting your current PC's install on top, then POL viewer will handle the rest via checking files/downloading missing stuff.

Is this still correct? Or shall I dig out my TOAU and WOTG discs lol
