TP Bonus on WS that has large TP mods for fTP generally makes a far bigger difference (Which is why people love it on SAM so much). Aside from that, as MercilessTurtle mentioned, 100% TP Bonus only adds 5% crit rate to Hi, as opposed to Ukko's or Smite, which get 15-20% crit rate. Out of the Emyprean WS, Blade: Hi actually is pretty lackluster. Crummy mod, awful TP scaling.
It can make a difference, it's just not really a priority compared to other stats you can get from atmacites.
LS mates want to do Ice Acc Magian trials, anything that I can use that gives an Ice-element related status ailment that I can AOE?
Haven't played in about a month, and noticing gradual slowdown when I'm just sitting in Port Jeuno. not sure if it happens in other zones, I haven't AFK'd anywhere else. Dropped from 29.4 FPS down to about 13 FPS when I came back and noticed everything was pretty choppy. Any ideas? I suppose it could just be that my PC needs a reboot, but input would be appreciated.
I'd yeah check your comp first. Might just need to restart program but I'm still usually fine most places even triboxing
Are you sure it isn't because your computer finishes loading all the PCs it doesn't immediately load while you're running through an area?
Switch to first-person view and look straight at a wall or something. If that fixes the FPS issue that's probably why. Other than that, a reboot would probably fix it, yeah.
What's the current go-to GOV to level up mules?
I used to do the bloodsuckers in Bostaunieux but with no more sneak locking on the book upstairs that's kinda bleh now.
Generally just go for 2 birds. When I wanted the fishing torque, used the time to level the mule on that book. When I wanted the smiths torque, used that time to level the mule on that book, etc.
If you're looking for pure speed with no purpose zeruhn was the only zone where I could keep the chain up over 100 standing the mule on the pillar and killing worms bats as they pop. (not book locking actually killing fast enough to chain solo)
Usually I just go to a place where I still need the Rare/EX item from still, one of those "might as well try farming it" sort of things.
Personally I like killing pugils/toads right outsde Cloister of Tides since I get a shot at a mil from Rancorous Mantle, but I'm pretty sure if you wanted to maximize xp sky would be the easiest place to do it.
Mules don't have sky yet :< just looking to maximize exp and get kindred seals.
When I had access to a second character I could dual box no problem. My PC is more than capable of running the game on max settings. I've never had problems AFKing over night in Jeuno to bazaar stuff.
That said, a reboot didn't fix the problem. It's been ten minutes and I've dropped from 29.4 FPS to ~21 FPS, so I'm open to more suggestions. This is pretty bizzare. I spent almost an hour straight in Behemoth's Dominion doing Pil with no issues, so I have no idea what the issue could be.
Could it be something with Windower is outdated or otherwise causing problems? I updated Spellcast/Recast/Statustimer, but not PetTP (never loaded it) or anything else that may have broken.
Did they lower the downtime to get AF1+1? Still have to wait till jp midnight?
Did they lower downtime for WOG missions?
Lowered it to vana'day. It used to be a conquest cycle, not jp midnight.Did they lower the downtime to get AF1+1? Still have to wait till jp midnight?
As far as I know, WOTG missions never had any cooldowns, as in JP Midnight waits.Did they lower downtime for WOG missions?
Been having some semi-random computer crashes lately related to FFXI.
I say semi-random because there's specific causes (areas) that cause it. Reaching the end of the tunnel where the worms are in Qufim Island causes a crash, the zone line in Tahrongi to Buburimu, anywhere near the cliff in Xarcabard with the Ule Range zone line, the outpost in Mertriphed, and the northern zone line to East Sarutabaruta from West Sarutabaruta. Once I reach any of these areas, the screen freezes for about .5 sec, goes black, I hear an audible click from inside the computer, and it immediately reboots the system. I've tried changing drivers (GeForce 7950 GT, Windows XP SP2, 3 gigs RAM). Its an olddd machine, but I just recently got it out of storage, and it never had these issues before.
File check turns up nothing. A friend mentioned perhaps a HDD is going out, but copying the files to an alternate HDD has turned out the same results. As noted above, I've only had these issues in original base game areas, and only at the specific spots mentioned, no issues in any Zilart, CoP, ToAU, WotG, or Abyssea areas. When it does occur, I either have a friend log me in to move me past the trouble area, or just brute force through it (log in, run as far as possible as it typically gives me 3-5 sec til crash, crash, repeat.) Most of the problem areas seem extremely small, only taking one or two brute forcing attempts to get past, although last night I spent a good 30 minutes getting to Ule Range, and about a week ago I was completely locked out of the game in West Sarutabaruta, as I'd crash before even completely loading in. Google-fu is either weak, or I'm just not looking for the right thing. Any ideas?
Addressing my own question. I turned on the Graphics Stabilization in the config thing (and bump mapping, lol), and I also unloaded Blinkmenot, thinking that might have something to do with the problem. I also unloaded Find, because a friend of mine was experiencing issues with it and said it might be causing mine. One of these thing apparently fixed the problem. If I had to bet, I'd say it was Blinkmenot, but I'll fiddle around later and see if I can pin-point the problem.
