Really though, I hope they don't sink to some "Louis is Dexter's 2nd cousin thrice removed" or some shit plotline. I've really enjoyed the first two episodes this season thus far, it'd be really disappointing if it came to that.

Nah, I think Louis just gets really obsessed about things, you know, being a geek/nerd and all that, 'cause you know we're all obsessive freaks who take things to the extreme /sarcasm off
The guy was so into his game that he spent 5 years on, that he gets pissed off when one guy whose wife was killed by a serial killer, says he shouldn't do it. Jeez, he could have asked a greater sample and got the answer he wanted instead of planning to ruin Dexter's life. There's plenty of things out there that offend people but people produce them anyway.
Anyway, I can't remember, is Doakes presumed dead or alive?
Dead. Laguarta is obviously thinking that the real BHB is still around and pinned it on Doakes somehow (which is what happened). Can't be a copycat because the bloodslide thing wasn't released to the public.
Liked this episode much better than the first. I'm pretty intrigued by the Ukrainian boss, he has the potential to be a good villain. Best part:
Masuka: "OH THANK GOD. I was about to blow you!"
Dexter, completely deadpan: "Not necessary."
Weird thing about Doakes is that he's credited as an actor on this season and if they show his picture, which they did, they have to pay him. I doubt very much that he would somehow be alive (because if that's true, again, I'm out), but I could see them ret conning in a scene between Doakes and Laguerta that moves her suspicions forward.
There's always flashbacks.![]()
I don't think she is going to need much hints as to where to look with Doakes attacking, fighting, tailing, and accusing Dexter, calling him a freak constantly and all this other shit they got into. Doakes tried so hard, and for so long to prove he was right, all the way until he fucking died. All of that is going to come back to her while she is trying to vindicate Doakes.
Not to mention that bloodslide had Travis' blood on it, shit is gonna get insane quick.
I miss Doakes, and I also miss Astor and Cody.
Spoiler: show
My body is ready for some Yvonne Strahovski
how can you possibly miss astor and cody lol. also pretty sure louis has motives not related to his game, but who knows. i'm sad quinn shows up at the strippers place next episode, i thought she really was going to just leave him epicly blue balled.
Quinn has become the excuse to throw random titties on the show.
Eh, I suspect it'll lead to him learning the mob's also looking for Viktor, and in some twist, their investigation would put him back on suspecting Dexter for shenanigans alongside LaGuerta. Louis is gonna fuck himself over somehow with some unfriendly nudges from Dexter, maybe even Deb, getting both the mob and the cops thinking he's the cause of everything. Incoming grainy airport video will Louis looks eerily similar to Dex in height and build.
Come to think of it, what's the actual timeline of the series? We know Louis has spent 5 years on his lolgame. So, how better to research playing a serial killer than becoming one like the BHB? And for a game, wouldn't it be a nice twist to frame the cop on your ass for your crimes? Yeah, knowing there's a S8 probably supports that too much, but it's also more feasible than some wanting to claim they knew EJO was Travis' Harry by the second episode, nevermind some of the other BS Travis managed in his run.
I dunno about Quinn. Either the stripper becomes his girlfriend, gets killed because the boss thinks she's telling cops things, so Quinn goes on a rampage. Or she's a setup from the beginning, being used by her boss to feed the cops wrong information. Or she could just be trying to get her money's worth out of him before dropping him.
Looking forward to how Quinn fucks up this season. At first I hated him but the Batista and Quinn bonding moments were pretty funny.
Quinn is walking filler. And not the hilarious Masuka kind of filler. I hate everything about him.
Is it just me or does he progressively look more and more like a meth addict through the seasons?
The way that they destroyed Quinn is one of my biggest gripes with the entire series. He was pretty much on Dexter's case the entire fifth season and pretty much figured it out, but some technicality that you know he couldn't believe was true had him drop the entire thing? In my mind he knows who Dex is, but then the writers decide to turn him into a heartbroken alcoholic who's useless. Dude was a good fuckin cop. I hope he can redeem himself this season, kind of looks like he might.
So much for Louis being anyone important.
why was Dovahkiin trying to kill some chick?
