That was painful to watch
That was painful to watch
That fan made Naruto was just a constant cloning clip......
With better choreography, which is what most of these shows are about when they become live action. The acting was 10x better, and the effects were superb in comparison.
eh it was watchable considering its fan made, they could have hired a better hairdresser or get better wigs; now that was painful to watch.
Terrible; DBZ just can't be translated into live action.
Nappa didn't feel like Nappa at all through his dialog.
Effects were cheesy
Shit was inaccurate. Only reason Tien did his tri beam with one arm is because he had only one arm in that scene. Having him do it with one arm while he has two is clearly retarded.
If you're going to depict dbz characters with real people, they should at least be in shape. Everyone in DBZ was ripped as fuck and half of the cast is in worse shape than me, and I wouldn't even be close to something I'd want for someone representing dragonball. Or at least leave their shirts on if they're gonna be at 14%+ body fat (Tien *cough* Tien *cough*)
Edit:
Seriously?

They can't put that in there or risk some sort of racism backlash.
The video was alright. However I get the feeling they're not putting too much effort in the "firing beam" stances was what I noticed to be quite poor acting.
Goku is clearly exherting everything he's gt here, but the trailer makes a very poor effort in replicating it in my opinion:

4:17 in the trailer.
eh, not bad considering cost/etc. i was hoping for something epic though![]()
On one hand, considering the budget, that's pretty good. On the other hand: man, that was corny! Couldn't help but chuckle at times, Piccolo (remembered the en/jp name!) is even worse than I remembered.
Anyway, there's a reason this wasn't done in live action initially: wouldn't really work.
If they made a real live action movie they could just tell it all from Gohan's point of view. Would probably be a pretty good movie seeing him get kidnapped, watching his dad die, surviving alone in the wilderness and then staying with Piccolo for a few months. Watching all his friends get blown the fuck up, and watching Piccolo sacrifice himself before his dad comes in and saves the day. Theyd be able to actually have a more interesting story this way I think, rather than nothing but swapping between 10 different people training and waiting for a big fight.
Not that I think this would ever happen lol
Think Joss Whedon could pull it off?
Better than movie, even if Goku is Pakistani.
Honestly it'd have to be a 2 part movie, first movie the story about raditz for 20min, then the rest of the movie being a gritty movie focusing on gohan dealing with his fathers death, and training in the forest with an alien who isn't there half the time. Do it real and gritty, like The Grey gritty. Then second movie focus on vegeta, gohan, and goku; not too much on the z fighters since most of them are going to die any ways and you don't give a shit about them unless you watched the original dragonball series. Finish the movie with vegeta flying away, and every one dead or dying, and from there decide if you want to continue or not depending on sales.
