There are unfortunately people who never bought these games when they first came out. I'm still hoping that they re-release 5 because I recently discovered that my copy is unplayable (disc damage).

And here I am being 'that guy' that's starting Suikoden 2 for the first time with no prior experience nor any real knowledge of the series.

Seems odd for them to leave the first game out of the sale though, I tend to not play series out of order. Should play fine on the Vita I hope.

Aw too bad. 1 followed by 2 is the best way to do it because 1 is missing so much of the QOL stuff that 2 added in.

Unless the creator can get the rights to the series, suikoden is dead. But at least the first three are on psn. 4 and 5 will follow in a few years hopefully.

If anyone in this day and age still think there is a chance for a follow up game, you're extremely delusional and need to be slapped . It will never happen, not ever. Especially not now. Okay I apologize. Look im not trying to be an asshole or negative in that way. I love the series probably more than anyone here. But ask yourself, in Konamis current state, is it even remotely possible? Even before all the pachinko and Kojima fallout, unless the original creator rolled out of his grave and slapped them for the shameful display, it ain't going to happen. I heard Tierkreis was a step in the right direction but that it all went downhill after. Only hope we have is a Kickstarter miracle or something like it.

It's not entirely impossible. There's definitely a plausible scenario where Konami loses enough money that they sell off or license the rights to the franchise to make some bucks.
