We all know it's not happening, but we love the games so much we will never give up hope.

I too am waiting for the teased follow up in Harmonia and that awful cliffhanger they left off after the events of III. All of the main characters are immortal, there is literally no reason not to have another game or sequel to another even, but here we are.. ugh.

That being said, if there is any hope to spread out the first two games (which IMO both belong together, as they are direct sequels pretty much) on PC, that would be fucking amazing.

I am a HUGE Suikoden fan. Up until the end of III anyway. IV was just trash and I heard V was good, but I didn't have any interest after Murayama left mid the development of III.

I have played through S2 more times than I can remember, S3 5 or more times. (clunky animation and all) but I have come to accept we will 99.9% never get another Suikoden. Especially with Konami on their stance now on games.

Just accept it.

Completely agree, played 1, 2, 3 and 5, 2 and 5 being my favorites, If you haven't played it yet, it's a really good game despite Murayama not being on it. The main story is a bit weak (specially the villains), but everything else is superb.

Yes, you are. I used to hoard my rpg games and ive only traded 2 of them back. IV was one of them.

IV's problem was that it was a mediocre game in a series of terrific games, and also had those eye-rollingly long sailing sequences. Not to mention far too many stretches with no background music. Also, creepy cat kobolds.

If Suikoden was ever remade as a series, IV could be immeasurably better just by adding music and making gameplay faster. Redoing character designs wouldn't hurt either.

Tactics helped me like IV more, and overall, I'm probably one of the goobers that feels III the worst of the lot. But this probably isn't the first time I've brought this up in the thread.

III can't be the worst because IV is there. And while III doesn't stand up to I, II or V because of its different style, I still found it to be a fun game.
