This movie is the real deal. Ending had me scratching my head for a minute, (wasn't confused, just found the choice a bit odd) but all in all, fantastic fucking movie.

Downloaded a HD cam version, sound was pretty low, but quality was overall good, and I can say yeah, i really liked it also. Will go see it in the cinema when it comes here on base, or maybe even out in town at the 4d cinema.

I really liked how they blended the new stuff with stuff he had done before, so sometimes his character knew what was gonna happen and sometimes not. Was really cool. Also Emily Blunt looking smoking hot.

About the ending...

First of all, I believe Tom goes back a few days because that is the "major turning point" of his recent life.
From his perspective, everything changed that day so he reverts to that, by instinct, thanks to the Alpha blood.

Then, friends and I made a few speculations:

A) There can't be 2 "Alpha Time Powers" at the same time. So when Tom jumps back a few days, Alpha powered, that basically short-circuits the Alpha and makes it explode.

B) The death of an Alpha is such a big event it sorta "echoes" back. Tom jumps while the Alpha is dying, causing the pre-Alpha to die as well.

According to the General when they enter his office, it was all the same day. "When you left my office earlier today, I never thought you'd be back". When he wakes up in processing is just a more convenient starting point, but the actual start to his day was landing in London.

It was watchable for a Tom Cruise movie. I have one complaint:

Why the kiss scene? Seriously, it felt so fucking forced. Why can't more movies be like Pacific Rim? Have you ever seen a buddy cop film with two dudes kissing at the end? Bonus points if the are different races.

I also noticed a goof at the very beginning. Tom gets off the Heli as a dude comes up to grab his bags, but in the next shot of him walking away from the Heli, the same dude is running up to the Heli to take the bags. Whoops.
