I dont like Bush either. That said he started the wars so the spending hole is explainable to a degree. I remember Obamas campaign promise of ending the war and pulling out within 16 months of taking office and getting us on track...not so much.

I dont work for the benefit of others. I work to support my family and want my paycheck. I volunteer and donate to charity at my discretion, I dont like being forced into it.

Re: CEO: Massive layoffs if Obama is reelected

Jesus dude your logic is awful. It's like you don't give a crap about the long term effects of Romney's Reaganomics. You want business to flourish immediately so you can feel good about the ledgers, ignoring the incredibly high possibility that it will fail later when you discover how much overinflated nonsense it is coupled with nobody to spend money on it.

Your argument was well presented but are you really this ignorant?

The good news is that if you're young enough to be on this site and you have a family, you are getting more from the government than you are paying back in taxes.

    You're welcome.

Im confused though. Dont ryan and Romney keep saying the poor would get free medical care anyway? And do you think Obama invented unemployment or something? This stuff has all been around forever, I'm not quite sure what you are getting at. Idm waiting till tonight so you can give a proper response though.

All that time he wasted typing stupid mini-responses would have been better spent making a single coherent argument. Nothing has been done to explain exactly how Mitt Romney is qualified and how he plans on running the country differently and growing the economy with his magic math.

And, his commercials mainly talk about Romney only paying 14%for on his tax return. 14% on what Romney earns is more taxes paid than what most Americans will pay in taxes over their entire lives.

I know my cost of living has increased over the last four years and my relative income has not. In my microeconomic existence thats all that matters to me as a potential voter. Economically things have gotten worse for me every year Obama has been in office. Will Romney fix things? Perhaps not, will Obama fix things? I am certain he won't.
Every person who makes this argument is unfit for procreation. By this logic, the "fair" tax would be an absolute dollar number, instead of a relative percentage that's the same for everyone. Good fucking luck getting $40,000/year in taxes out of every working American.

Furthermore, do a goddamn google search and educate yourself. If you don't think paying a 14% effective tax rate is shameful, then you don't know what tax rates were like 30-40 years ago when we had a thriving middle class.

The only thing that will get this country back on track is reducing the gap between the rich and poor. The increase in the gap over the past 10 years is utterly disgusting. The thing that kills me the most though is when the people that are being bent over by the rich come to their defense because they believe in the lie that is the American Dream. I think someone else said it in this thread, but money is a finite resource - for one person to have more, others must have less. Every person making millions of dollars per year in income is single-handedly fucking over dozens upon dozens of people who might've gotten paid a living wage if the wealth wasn't being so concentrated. The idea that poor people should just work harder to become wealthier is bullshit, because as I just stated, the more wealthy they become, the more people they force back into their old lifestyle.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

This is relevant to my interests. It's funny 'cause my parents have two timeshares (I use one of them) in orlando. We've had them for like 30+ years. When they built the westgate timeshare for years we wanted to buy theirs after selling ours, but of course, you can't sell timeshare for shit (well back then). now though you can get them off ebay for like a $1. Wanted to buy my own someday. Guess I'll stick to our own timeshare.

Working class income has been increasingly disproportionate to cost of living since the late eighties roughly, or in other terms, most all your life.

I don't know if you've just started paying attention, but this is nothing new.

Not time wated I was on my lunch and now I'm on the can. One thing you're still not getting is I've not once said I support romney or think he's the answer. You're coming up with that yourself. Romney is an unknown risk who may be just as bad, and may be worse when its all said and done.

What I am saying is that Obama is not the answer and he's proven tbat the last four years. As always our election comes down to the perceived lesser of two evils.

And I'm saying you're too green behind the ears to be able to make this kind of conclusion.

I am not a Romney supporter but at least he's a business man and might be able to help economically.
Saying that he's a businessman and might be able to help infers that you support him and his ideas, yet you have not once told anyone here why you think he is qualified to lead the country. As a matter of fact, the statement above literally says "I think Romney might be the answer". Leaving such an open-ended interpretation just so you can go "Well I didn't say definitely".

No shit. And neither did Obama. I'm most definitely not a supporter of Obama's foreign policies but you're deluding yourself if you think his domestic policies have done everything but move our country forward. You even called him a socialist.

It makes me laugh that you don't even see how hypocritical and stupid it is for you to call a President "socialist" because of policies that have been in place since Franklin Fucking Roosevelt.

The economy has been unraveling since the 80s. I don't know how long your father's been in business for, but just because you're making money doesn't mean business is good - it means profits are good. The problem at hand is that CEOs and Executives have seen their profits skyrocket while middle-class families are still doing the same amount of work - even more work, as a matter of fact, for the same pay. When they can't afford to buy things that other people who were already wealthy or picked "the right field" enjoy, they're told they should have saved; which is right after they are told to spend their money on all the awesome stuff. Can't afford it? Take out a credit card. Can't get a credit card? Borrow the money!

It's as facetious as the fucking alcohol and Bud ads that throw drinking in your face and then say "Drink responsibly" at the end so they don't get sued, except the ads are corporate fucktards and the demographic is an entire class of people.

These people who are rich and having to "succumb to ridiculous taxes" forget that the taxes they don't pay burden the rest of the working class with having to pay them. Less take-home money because of increased cost of living and expenses = unhappy. Douchebag management = unhappy. Not being able to pay your health care bill while your boss, who hires immigrant workers, runs a ponzi, fucks his secretary, whatever, can afford to build a ridiculously big house just to say he built it? How would that make you feel?

I'm not saying the guy can't build a house if he wants it. If he's going to build a $100,000,000 house, he shouldn't be bitching that he now has to pay an extra $1,000,000 in taxes that will cause him to lay-off workers, many of which probably can't even afford a $50,000 house.

So in short, fuck you if you think owning a business gives you the right to treat people like shit. That is the type of America Romney wants - where people who are "job-creators" run the country into the ground at the expense of the people who keep them in business.

Obama hasn't proven shit in the last four years that Romney will magically prove in the next four years. If anything, Romney will prove that yet another Republican "deregulate and detax" administration will fuck this country up even further.

No, my stupid-shit friend, while your perception is certainly your right and I won't fault you for having an opinion, you're taking an irresponsible neutral stance by going "Well I'll vote for Romney. Hopefully it won't be worse".

Don't fucking vote. Just don't. Do your country a favor and go masturbate in your father's bathroom while everyone else goes out and casts a ballot. At least then you can say you didn't go out and vote just because you don't like one guy's policies and how they have affected only you. More people exist than just you and your family. In the grand scheme of things, you're a fucking grain of sand on a carpet.

You need to wake up and start thinking about the future. If you can look at Romney's policies and say "Hey, these make sense and will work out for me and my family for the long term" then by all means, vote for him. You've done your civic duty. If the most you have to offer for your argument is "Sorry, taking a shit but long story short I don't want to vote for Obama again" then just shut up and let the rest of us discuss it.

I find the notion that the executive branch can so completely influence the hulking behemoth that is the economy in just four years to be utterly laughable.

Seriously, do people really think you can magically trigger a complete recovery from a global crisis? Merely by new tax policies and destroying a healthcare system?

Eurozone is in deep crisis, consumer confidence is lower than ever, uncertainty is high, your biggest trade partners are being extremely careful with expenditures and investments, their governments are employing "smooth landing" tactics to lower their deficit. Emerging Markets are doing OK but in a "controlled slowdown" period...and in this economy, people still bitch around saying "growth rate is slow lol."

    Uh, what?

You do realize that the business side of Obamacare only effects businesses with 50+ employees, right?

Please tell me your father really doesn't have a company with <50 employees, and actually thinks he's going to get boned by Obamacare. I mean, how many times has that figure been repeated? That is why we can't have nice things.
