Basically, this is more a sign of honesty in the face of pressure than whether people actually watch the debates.
It's a really simple combination of 2 factors:

    People being retarded
People doing anything they can to prevent looking retarded

The fact that they make themselves look even more retarded is just the deliciously hilarious end result.

It's not just in politics, either.

So after months of hearing the same people bash your dad on national television this one debate was the proverbial last straw?

Normal reaction? I'd imagine with the daily shit flinging that occurs in politics that this sorta shit would be status quo for Tagg Romney.

Obama is clearly the better parent, you don't see his daughters snapping their fingers at Romney and shaking their neck like other black girls, or picking fights with him after the first debate. Tagg is a monster.

No but seriously, the whole thing is a non-issue. Romney and Obama looked like they were gonna fight each other right there in the town hall at several points, someone saying they wanted to punch one of them too doesn't mean anything. There are several politicians I'd punch straight in the face if I got a chance to do it with no consequences.

How is this kid's name Tagg? This is some Trig/Willow/Track bullshit all over again.

At least the 3 kids Tagg has had via surrogate mothers are named David, William and Johnathan. Breaking the cycle.

Is Fox News trying to say that Obama still hasn't taken responsibility for Benghazi (even though he did during the debate)? My conservative boss was talking with someone else today and said he hadn't. Given that I'm sure he watched the debate, I don't understand how they could still be saying this.

Still wanna know what the Republican strategy is going to be that differs so wildly from Obama.

    Cozier relationship with Israel? K.
Less "leading from behind"? Does that mean more foreign adventures?

It means a war with Iran and another 4-8 years of telling the rest of the world "Fuck you I do what I want!"

    Seriously.

Why isn't this campaign hammering the fact that Romney is a fucking boorish neo-con?

I don't have polling data, but I'm working under the assumption that America is war-weary and is tired of wars, drone strikes, causalities, and general deployment of our military in harms way. And here we have Romney with a giant desire to go to war with Iran, Libya, and who the fuck knows where else.

I don't know. Maybe the public likes this shit.

We're not war weary, we're tired of hearing about it. There's a difference.

He hasn't really expressed any desire to go to war in Syria or Iran, or even to slow down the withdrawal from Afghanistan. He's criticized Obama on all of these issues, but he's never been able to say he'd do one substantive thing differently. He's just flailing away at the national security issue to capitalize on the Libya attack. When people eventually realize how ridiculous it is to turn that attack into an election issue, you're never going to hear another word from Romney on foreign policy save empty platitudes about our friendship with Israel.

Romney has at one point been in favor of putting troops on the ground in Syria to prevent chemical stockpiles from being funneled to terrorist organizations. Granted he's got the same Bush neocons calling the shots on foreign policy expect Power point presentations and preemptive strikes coupled with copious fear-mongering.

Maybe this time we'll actually steal the resources outright for America. It'll be a stimulus package we won't soon forget.

We wouldn't want the final proof, the smoking gun, to be a mushroom cloud (of anthrax).
