I dunno about troops on the ground, but if we can bomb some shit (hopefully as part of an international coalition) to take out Assad without it turning into a proxy war with Russia, I'm not opposed.
The highlights from the dinner last night was pretty funny. Both candidates were very funny.
It's like when they ask Ryan what he would have done differently in Syria. And all he could come up with what not calling someone by a certain label
Yeah, voter fraud is the real concern...

How many stories are we going to hear about Republicans fucking with registration forms? How many real stories are we going to have about voter fraud?
How many voter fraud claims are going to be caused by certain people tossing legit registration forms?
Stores about real voter fraud?
None. The Republicans are doing a damn good job at stopping it!
He was SPECIFICALLY told to throw voter registration forms into a furnace burning at no less than 400 degrees. So sloppy. In a statement, Republican Party of Virginia chair Pat Mullins called Small's actions "a direct contradiction of both his training and explicit instructions given to him."
i'd love to take out Assad, even just oking the Arab League plan for intervention and providing them some air support would probably get it done, but the LA Times reported that Obama + The Pentagon have contingency plans to send in special ops teams to secure and destroy the regime's chemical weapons stockpile if the situation spirals out of control.

now he didn't explicitly state he'd intervene the way Romney did, but i think it self-evident that he would. and he should. the region doesn't need the foreign Islamists flooding into the country getting their hands on VX and Sarin.
very little, and Obama's foreign policy has essentially been identical to what Bush did in his second term once he axed his original neocon team and brought in Condi + Gates to clean up the mess. increased drone strikes without regard to national boundaries, (selectively) siding with Arab populaces against terrorist organizations and secular dictators in an attempt to win their allegiance not their obedience, focus on black ops and domestic training, winning hearts and minds through traditional counterinsurgency methods combined with a global track + kill program aimed against terrorist ringleaders. it is the Gates/Petraeus doctrine, and it is here to stay, and i find it hard to believe Romney would be much more hawkish or even use a different strategy.
Romney would probably engage in more saber-rattling than Obama towards Iran, but that would likely be about all.
