Imagine the insanity that will happen with a 269-269 tie. A very likely scenario, I think, this go around!

(Romney will win a 269-269 tie, as the house will get to vote on who the president is)

Romney wins in the case of a tie unless the Dems take the house, which would be unlikely in the case of a 269 tie.

Also, Biden would be the likely VP in that case, assuming the Dems keep the Senate, which seems likely as of now.

All that side, the chances of a tie are very low this cycle, something like 1-2%.

In the Senate, each of the 100 Senators gets one vote, with a simple majority -- 51 -- Senators required to select the vice-president. So what the fuck happened? A couple of months ago everybody (well almost) called President Obama the winner of the upcoming election. Now it's like, 'we're not sure, Mr. Romney may win the popular but not really," blah blah. And all this crazy 'arithmetic' w/ polls and shit. It became like a game of football (soccer, for y'all yanks), like when a team is expected to win but they fuck up, then they depend on other teams to fuck up and get into this crazy shit about goals against and in favour... but I digress. It would be hilarious if President Obama loses, the levels of butthurt, assery, and tears in bg would be amazing. Can you imagine the mouthbreathers from redit? Jesus Fucking Christ.

If Obama does lose it's pretty much all on him, noone would believe Romney had a chance until that first debate. Romney has been riding that performance the whole time. When you give Fox News credible ammo to use against you, you know you fucked up.

I said it before, but President Obama didn't care about it. He was like, 'oh got this, my charisma will get me through' five minutes later he ran out of steam. On the other hand, Romney walked in as if he had a purpose, people dig that. Walking around w/ a purpose and pretending to know what the fuck one says it's all it matters.

Romney came back to the center and everyone remembered that he's not as conservative as he spent the last year pretending to be. Obama having a good first debate would only have mattered if he was somehow able to push Romney back to the right, which wasn't going to happen.

and the vast majority of people watching didn't know wtf

obama definitely blew it in not expecting him to come out and lie with nearly every word, considering that's been his entire campaign
