Just to comment; in this regard neither candidate is great when it comes to immigration reform. Obama didn't do what he promised in that regard(Jorge Ramos drilled him on this during 1 interview), and Romney's "self deportation" is a fucking joke and I already know people who fear that if he sees that doesn't work(which it won't)he'd become more aggressive in that manner cause of his party status after the stupidity of the Arizona situation.

This is not what Uncle Tom means. Read the book, Uncle Tom died protecting and helping the slaves, he wasn't subservient to the slave masters. The new (incorrect) meaning came when white people rewrote their scripts for the book/movie.

Well, he was pretty subservient to the slave masters. He defies them only a handful of times while embracing their value system (Christianity) and seeming to bear them no ill will. I agree that he wasn't meant to be seen in a negative light and was likely supposed to be the protagonist of the story, but the book was written by an old white woman before the civil war. She may have been an abolitionist, but she was still from that time period. He was a good slave that faithfully served God and didn't initiate violent conflicts, only disobeying his masters when their orders contradicted what he felt was the right thing to do from a Biblical standpoint. This probably made him an incredibly sympathetic character in 1896, but I'm sure you can see why a civil rights movement trying to motivate people to take a stand and push towards equality would have had problems with it.

I was right and you're right. The book shouldn't be referenced in this day and age, basically a self-fullfilling prophecy about black people as a whole.

house nigger shouldn't be used in this day and age either i was intentionally using offensive and ignorant terms to take exception to original bro's portrayal of African-Americans who deviate from liberalism and the Democratic party as treacherous sycophants ingratiating themselves with their oppressors to pick up scraps from the dinner table of their 'white masters'

That is because there are two kinds of Republicans now, W. Bush Republican which manipulate and win at all costs, and Jeb Bush Republicans which keep their dignity and fight hard to win. I don't agree with Jeb on much, but I respect him.

What do you guys think about this chart? Obama and Romney kinda make sense to me but Rocky Anderson didn't come off as nearly that Right leaning to me.

It's just pointing out something too many Americans don't realize-- that our politics are way, way, way to the right, to the extent that our far left is actually barely left of center.

Look at it this way... the American centrist is right there between obama and romney, and rocky is a fair bit to the left of that.

Perhaps I should have been more clear but I was just pointing out the mental split between those who lean Democrat and those who lean Republican in the black community but the reality is that most blacks vote Democrat. However, most of the people who vote Democrat only do so because the intense sectarian nature of the Republican party creates an environment where only hardcore religious zealots (or wealthy blacks) would be inclined to pull the lever for Republicans. If the Republican party would ever return to sanity (or at least the the middle) and decided to be more than a national party devoted to riling up angry white people they'd have a fair number of blacks willing to join their cause purely on social and economic grounds.

Much like Hispanic situation the poll dominance for Democrats is there because the other side is so hostile to their presence. And yes, you can point out guys like Michael Steele, Alan Keyes and Herman Cain as running contrary to the idea that the Republican party is open to everyone but the fact is that it isn't and it shows.

There is a difference between having conservative principles and being a member of the Republican party.

Either MALDEF (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund) are a bunch of liars, or you're crazy and wildly uninformed. The vast majority of Mexicans and Central Americans are democrats. Don't believe me? Check the LA city council members. It's strange to hear a Latino voting for a republican, specially after Pete Wilson LOL.

Paul Ryan Says Obama Would Compromise 'Judeo-Christian Western Civilization Values'

aka Ryan baits the 'Obama's a Muslim' crowd to turn out to vote again.

"It's a dangerous path," Ryan said on his opening remarks on the call, which has been rescheduled at least once. "It's a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values that made us such a great an exceptional nation in the first place."
    Alternatively, "Let's reinstate slavery."
