If you wanted a clean animated background, don't use pixel art for games. I think it defeats the point though.

Not trying to be a dick, but why go back and forth about this shit? My point was that upscaling pixel art looks like shit if you smooth it, and yes, problem solved if you don't want to smooth it. Yes, it looks pixelated because it is. Use HD video or find something higher res to use in its place.

Someone said they wanted to animate the windows background with something like that. I answered how to do it and even said if you wanted it to be clean to not use pixel art made for low-res games. I don't see any point to go back and forth about it any more. Moving on...

Most likely, although maybe you could link to the video in your startup folder and get it to open with the player minimized. I think VLC remembers to play it as a background the next time you open it.

I have been able to take this file and make it 5 times bigger while maintaining the original look of the pixels. No bleeding, same jagged edges. If that's what is being looked for let me know I can get it to whoever was looking for it.

It's sitting at 14.2MB so I'm not going to put it here in a post. The new size is 3540x2560.

Edit:
I've actually zipped it and uploaded it to my BG Box if anyone wants it.

It's apparently not working. I'll save out the file as a avi or MP4 and try getting it to work tomorrow.
