Stop believing and sensationalizing everything you see on the internet.

What is so retarded about shit like this and lattice math is that they are usually generated from the need to teach special needs students how to do higher math when they struggle with simple things like addition. And then some idiot board member who hasn't stepped inside a classroom in 20+ years decides they need to "innovate" their school and make all the students learn this way.

Trust me, if a teacher is teaching this in their regular ed classroom they are thinking, "this is full of shit," but do it anyway to keep their job.

As an aside, I found her last bit with the grammar humorous. I teach a writer's workshop class at an SAT Prep center. All my students love math and hate English. I am constantly doing things like she described to connect the two subjects so they understand it better. I did something similar when talking about semi-colons. lol
