Unfortunately the reason Nintendo and Sony are still even alive is that the Japanese gaming community is entirely console-based. Oh a penny for the number of times that someone's asked me "what system you play games on?" which is followed by "what? PC has games? OH like minesweeper and hentai games".

Even in stores, you can have a football-field sized room with aisles and aisles of Wii games in a store. The PC section? Half of a shelf which is just Dummies Guides, a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator and some Mahjong game no-one's heard of. All I can say is thank fk for Steam.

The Wii/U exclusives should be a lot bigger. Bias, I'm sure, but they decided to leave out a lot of Nintendo franchise games.

Eh... Nintendo has it's core plus a huge casual base. Sony manages to pull off enough quality exclusive IPs to chug along. Japan helps but it's not all there is.

In regards, to PC titles, oddly you have to go to non-game stores now. Frys, Target and Best Buy all have pretty solid pc selections.
