I swear I've seen an anime with almost the same exact concept like 15+ years ago. Definitely interested though cuz I'm sucker for this kind of genre.

There is even Less information about it out in the internet now than there was a year ago. How the fuck does that work.

Also another film called "The Prototype" slated to come out in 2016. Completely different.

Andrew is no longer listed as an employee of the Bandito Brothers (the company he was with when this was announced) and the film company, Sunrise Pictures LLC, hasn't had an update since 2013, but lists this film for starting development in 2014.

Scratch that on Sunrise, they are still active, just not to a broad scale. So they have their hands in the pot still. Cantina Creative also listed the film in development. I cannot find any mention of the Prototype on the current Banditos website:

As for the film company that is in the trailer, Variant Films, they seem inactive for more than a year which they've just been making music videos.
