So I found this e-mail in my inbox this morning:

Basically, you're to create a 60 second video to show much of a (super) fan you are of Final Fantasy.

I'm unsure what the marking criteria is, but I don't think I've got enough material/dedication/money/space to ever win or beat some people out there. Plus, the prizes seem weird at best, especially with the way it's labelled: "You could win":

2x tickets to Distant Worlds Paris
Your name on next FF game
The title "Superfan"

Anyone plan to enter? Also, I was wondering what qualifies as a "superfan". I can imagine people taking videos of their bedroom completely rimmed with FF goods.

The only thing I can think of at the moment to enter is to get one of them replica Kraken Clubs that a few privileged people have on BG, get him/her to dress up as a Dark Knight, and then someone else to dress up as some sort of mob ... and then re-enact a zerg situation, and in post production edit it with a UI and effects lol - but professionally of course.

I can't think of any other method to win otherwise. There's just too many crazies out there to try and beat, haha. And the best way I can think of is to not show how much merchandise you got, but what you created. And the Kraken Club was one of the better examples of something finely made for Cosplay.

I'm gonna video record myself, and say "back in 2001, when everything was as hard as fuck to obtain, i managed to scrounge together £180 to buy the FF7 OST, which turned out to be a bootleg, but information about such evils were hard to come by then, and I didn't know it was a bootleg until 2005. Still sounded the same though. I'm a superfan, and I overpaid for something I truely loved."

while is collection is pretty nifty, i really don't think it means he's a superfan. just has deep enough pockets to spend on it.
collecting shit is not indicative of your passion for the series.

understandably he's kept most of his stuff unopened to maintain their collectors value.. but someone should just ask him how many of the games he's even played.
