Third-Party debate - Tuesday October 23rd

I know some people will be flooding the current thread for tonight's National debate, so this one is dedicated to the third-party debate that is scheduled for Tuesday Oct. 23rd and moderated by Larry King.

Al Jazeera English plans to broadcast the debate live...The debate, sponsored by the Free and Equal Elections Foundation, will feature Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party), Jill Stein (Green Party), Virgil Goode (Constitution Party) and Rocky Anderson (Justice Party).

A second debate will take place on Oct. 30 in Washington, D.C.

None of the third party candidates qualified for the three presidential debates... Those debates are sponsored by the Commission on Presidential Debates, which was formed by the Republican and Democratic parties in 1987 and hasn't allowed a third party candidate on stage since Ross Perot in 1992.

The debate airs on Tuesday at 9pm est

Whether or not you are going to vote third party, this should be a very interesting debate between these four parties. I would also suggest checking out OnTheIssues which has information regarding past voting record and policy issues on candidates, because we all know that voting records speak volumes more than rhetoric.

You could say the same thing of the mainstream debates. It's not like much debating is going on outside toting the party standard coupled with some rhetorical fencing. Facts and figures are mere props beside the theatricality of appearing to look like you know what you're talking about. Someone asks Obama or Romney a question and what you get is whatever they've rehearsed or complete sidesteps of the question. What most of us watch the whole affair for isn't for substance but simply to see the opponent we don't like fuck up on national television and it will be likewise with this 3rd party debate.

I'll return to my Honey Boo Boo like a good American afterwards. Well that or Hardcore Pawn.

Working primaries, I don't think I've ever had to tear one of their ballots off the pad, and California is where most of them are.

Or debate on which one would slow future spending increases more. Rather than stop the deficit altogether.

Or who's fault it is that nothing happens in congress. Rather than what both parties could agree on whole-heartedly like military (not defense) cuts and tax cuts together.

The reason they can be honest and truthful is because no one gives a fuck about them. You can say whatever you want when a 3% share of the population is a huge take for you. Their positions are extreme at the best.
