NPCable items are bought with dominion credits.

People will probably shift to dom ops next. Least I hope. Stay the fuck away from fishing. It's over saturated as is.

dom op are 50 times slower. The game has worked for 6 years without abyssea. The gil supply has always been enough, all it will do is incite people to farm more and pay less.

Pure speculation, but over the past few days on Fenrir I've been seeing what looks like an RMT party lined up at the PJ NPC that a lot of people sell blinkers to. It seems like an odd coincidence considering they've left blinkers untouched for years. Also they really shouldn't nerf Haks... they're not even remotely similar to blinkers.

Only surprised it took this long for blinkers to get nerfed as they were far more economically impacting than something like beast blood which also got nerfed way back when.

Luckily this happened with me ~500 alexandrite from a Ryunohige. I think I can handle a week of salvage to finish.

I like you, but holy shit. You either say the most obvious of shits or the dumbest of shits. This one being both at the same time.

Sounds like a good time to sell stacks of VW cells before that market crashes.

People really shouldn't be complaining about this, to be honest. Nothing of value was produced by vendoring blinkers, mostly it was just going to cause inflation on items that everybody wanted. People who weren't vendoring blinkers would have suffered immensely. If you're skeptical, consider this. The bot I made was getting around 380k cruor per hour steady (when my internet wasn't going to hell.) This could have been improved if I was able to spend more time on it. It amounted to about 2 billion gil per week for the alliance, if uninterrupted. I was not the first and not the only one doing this. The number of alliances that were botting cruor was increasing at an alarming rate. It was getting very close to the point where extreme amounts of inflation were about to occur because a large amount of this gil was being circulated into RMT.

Honestly most "casuals" I know make the majority of their gil by selling heavy metal plates off Qilin runs or as random stuff they pick up from doing events (Selling shanks from KS99 etc) and never blinkering, because blinkering without any programs to help you is too much of a pain to do, and even with a program it can be annoying. I never bothered blinkering precisely because of how bothersome it was to do.

The main gil source of the "casuals" is Brosale.com.

If it was making 2 billion per week then surely it's still making 200-300 million per week post nerf? If so it's hardly fixed the problem, just toned it down.

Frankly it impresses me that people bother 6-boxing or whatever, I'm amused enough to just say they deserve to make that much gil. =P

But then, if you're RMTing all that, I guess you're actually making a profit off the game from doing nothing?

Well 2 billion a week even at the low amount of $2 a mil is $4000 per week. Of course that's reliant on you actually being able to offload 2 billion per week. Hell, even if it was say 6 people using 3 chars each then it's $667 per week / $34684 per year for 'free'.

Perhaps unique to my situation. 12/18 of the alliance characters were my characters. Each player would make about 16M now, and this is over the course of an entire week. This also comes with the assumption that their bots worked as well as mine did. The numbers I heard were between 170k~260k/hour for those other groups. The risk doesn't seem to be worth it anymore. I will probably just deactivate all of the mule accounts at this point.

192m per week isn't worth the risk for you? That seems crazy to think when people fishbot for like only 8-12m per week per character (with the whole bait being a pain in the ass scenario) but I guess you already have more gil than you know what to do with now.
