Sad that reading about ffxi is more exciting than actually playing ffxi.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww +1 for the sad truth. ;_:
And the more I think on this the more it rings true that this only really nerfs the middle class. The rich will continue to get richer while the minimum wagers get screwed out of their meager income source. Getting Mitt Romney'd in this bitch. It's not Squeenix's job to care about the 47%.
Think about how dumb that post will sound when someone necros this topic 3 years from now.
That's okay. I'm all about the old time politics. I'm still rocking my Ayatollah Assaholla shirt.
SE seems to have gutted at least one thread last night with their "moderation." I'm amazed at how they think deleting angry posts suddenly means people aren't pissed at thier changes.
I don't have the patience to wade through most official forum threads, but are at least some people explaining the rational reasons why this wasn't the best way of going about this nerf?
Se needs their 12.95 so instead of fixing the problem (people cruor farming w multiple accounts, single handedly creating millions of gil daily), they make cruor absolutely worthless (i brewed 4 chloris's a couple of days ago just because it was late and i have 6m in useless cruor), while leaving all that illegitimate gil in the system.
Nice double standard. If you were converting, you were contributing to the problem.
Converting 100 mil a week that was bot farmed is totally comparable to converting 1 mil a month lol
It is when you consider the fact that there are hundreds of people on the server all doing the same thing.
Proof?
If you think otherwise you must have never bothered watching the Chocobo Tamers. People were at those NPCs around the clock.
Using windower macros's I made a set of binds that would spam 50 times to the chocobo blinker npc. Cut the time down to fill your inventory from 30min manually to about 10, without me doing anything.
I spent an entire day converting all my cruor to gil before voidwatch. Everyone knew it was there, and if you needed a large chunk of money it was much faster and much less risky than other option.
I stopped crafting for money because it was faster to burn cruor/sell abyssea crap.
