It's also hardcoded for 7/Vista/8/8.1 in the app.manifest since it needs .net4.5 ^^;

.NET4.5 installed?
Run as admin?
Using same language of app as game?
All chat is turned on for battle related content in one tab in the game?

Typically those are the culprites.

After the update, it seems that the timing twintania alarm sounds aren't as accurate as it used to be. Sometimes it can be as late as few secs.

dl'd the new version fresh last night, updated .net and installed. parser widget doesn't work. in a party, tracks the first couple hits maybe and stops. solo, it tracks nothing. running win7, all battle logs are enabled. i can alt-tab after the fight and click through to see the app info, but that's not nearly as useful. didn't run it long enough to see if it was sucking memory.

Same problem as Wintersquall. I was watching Fight Club last night, and when I started the movie it wanted to update to the new Jan 22nd version. Now, the in-movie Widget for DPS Meter no longer works. Every time there's a fight in the movie, none of the DPS is being tracked. On mine, it doesn't even start up any more to show any data. Once or twice I've seen a stat tracked at the start of a fight, but nothing after that initial hit. New fight club version seems to be broken for the in-movie DPS Widget which is also where I'm usually looking.

I do have a dual monitor for when I watch Fight Club..but I'd prefer the Widget overlay. Tried changing a lot of Fight Club settings but can't get it working again...

EDIT: On Windows 8.1 btw...

Thou shalt not use it, or talk about it, for fear of getting a warning/ban until this fiasco is all sorted out. Since I am the person the whole screenshot and GM convo is regarding you better believe I'm not gonna refer to it by name where my in-game character name is clearly shown for fear of SE giving me a full ban. I'm sure they're pissed about the bad publicity I've given them and would love nothing more than to find reason to ban me at this point...

One thing I've learned about this program, is to never update it. I've had issues with Twintania widget a couple of times, and my settings xml keeps getting wiped everytime, I think?

Now get out.

So what you're saying is...people come to BG to troll or be trolled and there's no chance of a discussion about the problem with the FFXIV-APP and the thread can just be cluttered with name-calling and internet tough guy stuff and it's useless to come here unless you want to read things that don't pertain to the conversation, and that's acceptable on these forums and the norm? I'd clean up this thread if I were the creator of the app....js
