could be worse. you could wanna move to cheshire
also lol that meriden already has outages...the rain falls and meriden loses power
i'm a little south of Boston and my boss just emailed us saying he's going to work from home... but that we aren't going to be closed. fucking prick! hopefully i'm out of there by 11am tomorrow. even our governor asked businesses to close. was hoping to get hammered and sleep late!
well just remember if a state of emergency is declared you cannot be on the road unless you're an emergency worker. so fuck your boss
Also, I'm at a bar right now with my girlfriend totally ignoring the laws.
10-12ft out at Ditch Plains in Montauk right now. Wind is getting fucking gnarly.
RQ: can my boss make me go into work when the office is located in a mandatory evac zone? lol. You guess why I ask. I don't work for any emergency service or anything.
most evac zones will have roads going in closed and only outgoing open.
Still aint shit happening in DC. guess its supposed to squall tomorrow afternoon.

What the Fuck is wrong with people?
I woke up this morning to a power outage and it wasn't even raining. Could be a fucking long few days here.
Lol
With the exception of granola bars and potato chips, the grocery store actually didn't look like tomorrow was the Apcoalypse. I half expected to find the equivalent of a London soccer riot aftermath. Marylanders are looking a little less stupid for the moment ... but only a moment.
My work sells those things hanging there. Cheap ass hot dog slicers, I cannot believe how many we sold this summer.

Where in Waterbury? Born and raised in The Dirty Water myself, but currently keeping it classy in Southington. Irene didn't do too much harm to my condo complex, as the power was out only ~12 hours. The blizzard was another story though - full week for us.
Man, I feel really bad for the folks living on the shore. Just the thought of people leaving their homes knowing that it's possible it won't be there when they return is really harrowing.
Shut the Metro down here in D.C. as of the close of business (2400 Sunday). Federal and District Government closed Monday, essential personnel State of Emergency status until further notice, college campuses closed, canal roadways closed, National Guard recalled and on standby for Prep-Ready, local businesses asked to take all items not bolted down inside and to board windows, all the local markets out of bottled water/milk/grain products and the 7-11 around the corner ran out of cigarettes today. All the signs of a shit show and if it doesn't do something i'm gonna be pissed.
Also AHOD for emergency personnel. Lot of people invoking the Safety Claus today!
