I picked a hell of a time to get a tooth ache. Wind/Rain isn't anything to worry about in Seaford/Levittown right now.
in about 40mins, theyre shutting down a substation in bridgeport, ct. 35,000 customers about to lose power at noon
Just went out to clean the gutters. Was a nice light drizzle, and a cool breeze. Feels good man.
66F in SW FL. At least it's sunny
There is like a massive storm front hitting in the next few years.
It feels like its nothing because the cold front its sucking up is slowing it down but that is just going to make it worse when it does it because its just going to sit there on top of us raining hard.
IS it me or do people not seem to understand that Wind almost means shit. The storm surge is whats going to fuck things up.
In good news my credit is now over 735!<3 junk email lol
This. We aren't scared or worried about the wind. We're worried about what it's going to cause to fall over. My house is surrounded by pine trees on all sides. My first instinct if a strong wind hits isn't going to be oh no I hope the power doesn't go out. It's going to be I hope one of these massive fucking trees doesn't decide to pancake our cars or our house.
in most of NJ the winds are the worst problem. nothing like 100 ft trees in saturated ground that typically can't handle more than a 35mph gust, let alone 80. In my area, just off the shore, all of our calls are for houses loosing roofs, collapses, and trees on houses with entrapment.
You better have insurance Brill. And a basement.
We do and we do. Our problem isn't going to be flooding luckily, we're up on top of a huge hill. It's going to be wind and snow. And if we lose power to boot it's going to be a pain in the ass. But I'd rather take the snow over rain. The snow will melt by next week.
Yeah, I live in a heavily wooded neighborhood and there are few large trees in our yard that could be a problem. My dad cut down all the trees closest to the house, but what's left is close enough.
I live on Long Island lol. So the Storm surge is what scares the crap out of me. My local area is fine but as the guy a few posts back showed freeport and other around me are going to be hit hard as hell.
Pier on Ocean City is pretty much gone.![]()
We got hit by a huge oak years ago. We have gotten rid of several trees since then, the last few just a couple months ago. It was awesome to look at all my neighbor's yards covered in leaves this year and see nothing but grass in mine. This stupid storm is going to ruin that. >.>
