Part of the Boardwalk just collapsed in Atlantic City.
My dad is a psychopath. He works as a taxi driver, and he's apparently outside working in NYC cause the tips would be great today(he got a 13 dollar tip on a 17 dollar trip in 1 ride). My mother said if the flooding doesn't kill him, she will finish the job when he gets home.
Well, will be leaving for work shortly and my station lost power.
hahaha
starting to get nasty in ocean county new jersey, and it's still about, 4-6hrs out before it makes landfall. models are showing it making a direct hit here too.
We've started getting busy, trees and lines down everywhere. winds are getting worse, supposedly there was a 98mph over the water, wind speeds a mile above ground level were 75 this morning, 95 at like 12, and are now at 105mph. granted its a mile up, but it means it's getting stronger and it's going to end up being higher wind speeds than expected.
Lots of places in NJ if you didn't evacuate you're now trapped. ocean gate has a structure fire as well as Wildwood and toms river. they just put out the evacuation tones for the toms river fire. parkway is now closed both directions at like 130... crazy.
I live in Brooklyn and its rainy and extremely windy. But I'm not in an evacuation zone so prob just keep continue baking cookies and watching Homeland![]()
There's a crane collapse in midtown manhattan. It's just hanging up on top of the building
Also, winds really picking up here in CT. At the firehouse now
