Is this worse than what you guys there were expecting? I am just wondering if officials exactly warned that the flooding would be this bad, transformers blowing, fires? I saw video from some press conference the other day and I heard a bunch of general warnings.

After the record hype with Irene last year that led to virtually no damage within the city, Sandy has been a big wake up call.

This storm was barely Cat 1 and major parts of the city are underwater, fires everywhar, people hammering 911 and power outages coupled with brownouts. Pretty sure everyone got way more than what they were expecting and we want no parts of anything more intense.

The subway damage is going to determine how quick the city can recover.

Just got home from work.

Not much for any dangerous situations in boston, alot of streets shut down due to flooding but thats about it.

Also, arrived home to a slightly flooded basement. Lovely
