Also, major gas emergency here. Long lines at the few stations with fuel. Been waiting 20mins already and there's probably still 50 cars ahead of me...

Nooo absolutely not. The one i made a thread about scared me awag with her religious shit. This one used to work with me a couple years ago. We had a strictly friends w. benefits thing. Neither of us let it affect us at work. She just lives 10 minutes away, so we get together from time to time.
Regarding power, have heard all the way til NEXT Saturday before anything. The giant ass tree that was sitting there hasn't even been looked at, let alone touched. Off to my uncles tonight.
Just got power back a few hours ago. Friend three houses down still doesn't have power. Bwahahaha.
Now to spend every waking hour working on coding homework I couldn't work on the past few days.
Live up in orange county ny where word is we wont get power for another 4-5 days. Currently down in Staten Island with the fam, and I couldnt believe how torn up the island is. Very bad gas shortages will probably keep me down here for the next few days.

^ they found who made that bullshit tweet about the NYSE trading floor being flooded.
I don't think you get fined for not having 3+ people. They have police at the entrances to the bridges checking, and they just tell you to go in the other direction if you don't have enough. At least that's what I saw today.
I walked to downtown manhattan today just to check it out at night... It was ... really ... really... really weird. All of a sudden there's lights, and then BAM, nothing but pitch darkness. So eerie and super sad to see the city like that. If you do end up going for whatever reason, bring a flashlight. Lots of cops at every single street helping with traffic thankfully.
.MOONACHIE, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey will deploy military trucks to serve as polling places on Election Day in storm-battered communities, the state secretary of the state announced Thursday during a visit to this flood-ravaged town. The state is also extending the deadline on mail-in ballots.
Department of Defense trucks will be parked at regular polling places that have lost power, as long as the sites are still accessible. Paper ballots will be used.
Republican Secretary of State and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno said voters will find "a DOD truck with a well-situated National Guardsman and a big sign saying, "Vote Here."
Guadagno said it was still unclear how many of the state's 3,000 polling places are without power, but she would know by Friday. Alternate sites are to be identified in cases where polling places are gone, she said.
More than 1.6 million electric customers in New Jersey remained without power Thursday night.
The state also extended the deadline for when county clerks may accept mail-in ballot applications to the close of business Friday. Election officials said they could be handed in as late as Election Day, by the close of the polls.
The secretary of state urged as many people as possible in storm-damaged areas to vote by mail-in ballot because, she said, "obviously in places like Seaside Heights and Sea Bright, there is no polling place, it's gone."
"There's no reason not to vote, there's no reason not to vote today, there's certainly no reason not to vote on Tuesday, five days from today," Guadagno said.
Gov. Chris Christie said that in areas without electricity, voting would again be "old school."
"You walk up, get a paper ballot, fill it out and hand it back in," he said.
With paper ballots to be counted, the governor said some races might be more suspenseful.
Just caught this is on tumblr:
WARNING: Attention those in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and those in Staten Island; there are thieves going around dressed as Con Edison workers so that you may let them in your home and will then rob you at gun point. There have been an incident or two reported, so please BE CAREFUL. If anything, call 311 to make Con Edison workers were sent to your area.

Gas and Ice, Gold after a storm. Do they not have places where people can get MRE meals in the harder hit places? I saw some people saying they couldn't find food/places to eat on the news, that would blow my mind if there wasn't staging areas for ice/MRE handouts.
People will get into a brawl over petrol?
I dunno, depending on location/place, surely if you absolutely can't get any petrol, you could walk to the nearest store to pick up some supplies? A bit overkill to fight for this. I know it's important, but it's not really the end of the world, is it? lol
Many areas and parts of town now require ID before you can enter residential areas to help stop looting. Marines came into seaside last night and were doing patrols on the water because people were out stealing boats. I've even heard some cops say its marshal law and they are to shoot looters in some areas. Some people are pretending to be FEMA officials so they can get into your house and rob you.
It's quite interesting to say the least.
