My workplace is currently in the process of sending Type 2 handcrews over to help do things. Going to be contracted under DHS instead of FEMA oddly enough. We'll be sending out 20-60 out of the 1500 requested for the next 30 days. They don't think it be like it is, but it do.

Love how lipa claims 50% of their clients have power. Bs lol at my job who comes from all over(seeing as its in the.middle of the island) one has power and she has half power; only some of the house is working lol

Gas company is telling barrier island customers that their gas infrastructure is compromised and it could be 6-8months before gas is back up. There was already a 6 month estimate before people could move back in, since the sediment is also compromised out there. There is now 4feet deep of beach sand up to a 1/4mile into the Island and it's going to be a long time before the ground is solid enough to rebuild on. Something like 50,000 people could be displaced.

I have returned!

Just got back to Manhattan and my apartment. Being out in Brooklyn for the aftermath really took me out of the situation. I tried to get in contact with my buddy who lives out in Staten Island to see if I can help him out but it looks like his family has already split to Massachusetts for awhile, water wiped out their restaurant and house.

Anyway, hope all you BG folks are staying sexy.

It's slowly getting closer to my place in Oceanside. I really don't expect it until maybe mid next week. Feels bad man. lol

Brazilian model and New York City resident Nana Gouvea took advantage of Superstorm Sandy's wreckage Wednesday, using New York's downed trees and destroyed cars as a backdrop for a number of seductive photos, EGO reported, which quickly went viral.

Many Internet users, however, were not sufficiently seduced to not be appalled by Gouvea's apparent lack of respect for the climbing death toll and millions of families displaced by the storm, according to the Herald Sun.

Gouvea's comments on the situation certainly did not help. She gushed to EGO about how much she loves hurricanes, saying they give her an opportunity to spend quality time with her husband, Carlos Keyes, who took the now-notorious photos.

The photos have sparked a tumblr, Nana Gouvea em Desastres ("Nana Gouvea in Disasters"), which superimposes the brunette beauty onto other tragic scenes, including the sinking of the Titanic, the Hindenburg explosion and the death of Mufasa.
