2. The United States is actively involved in 2 wars.
3. The United States is in an economic crisis.
4. These probably do not make up even HALF of the issues that the President faces behind the scenes.

The stupidest thing about people like you is that you assume that all public information = all information. You have no idea the amount of shit that Obama and the people around him have to spend their time handling. I find it more unbelievable than believable that he would have ever known about Fast and Furious.

An incompetent president would be one who tried to take on that much shit. A competent one trusts the system and his staff to handle things for which he does not have time. In this instance, one of those people may have messed up. Hardly unprecedented.

This Fast and Furious argument makes no sense imo. Let's say Obama knew and lied. That's one lie vs. like 50 that Romney has been caught saying. How the fuck can you use that to vote for him instead? So many of the talking heads bitching and moaning and spinning that program onto Obama have never once taken their own party to task on the hypocritical bullshit they do. THAT is what scares me about the GOP: They're the "Good Ol' Party" full of "Good Ol' boys", and unless one of them screws up on a level that hurts them all (Todd Akin & the senate seat) they never take responsibility for the messes that they create. And even then, all they do is shun that person until they're useful again.
