I am able to vote in this election and I will vote for Obama.
I am able to vote in this election and I will vote for Romney.
I am able to vote in this election and I'm voting for a different candidate.
I am able to vote in this election, but I will not vote.
I am unable to vote or I'm from a non-US country but I would vote for Obama.
I am unable to vote or I'm from a non-US country but I would vote for Romney.
I am unable to vote or I'm from a non-US country but I would vote for a different candidate.
I am unable to vote or I'm from a non-US country but I wouldn't vote anyway.
I don't vote, so what's the problem?
Again, this is EXACTLY what the Florida republican controlled government was aiming for.
Fuck everyone over, refuse any federal assistance, use any that was already scheduled before Scott got in for things nobody will actually notice, laugh all the way to re-election as fucking morons that aren't paying any attention blame it on Obama.
Specifically for you, I imagine the most important issue would be pell grants and under Obama, funding has doubled and the maximum reward has risen, too. If you can infer plans Romney would pursue from VP Paul Ryan's budget proposal, pell grants would lose billions in funding, cut eligibility for up to 1 million students and freeze reward amounts. I get that it's hard to give a shit about this, but there's a very real scenario of the pell grant being affected depending on who's elected, and not just for you.
Have you ever gone into any of the local government offices to ask for help applying for benefits? I imagine if you explain your situation they might be able to help with both applying and figuring out what else you might be eligible for. Here's a place in St. Pete: http://stpete.patch.com/listings/flo...ldren-families - just be prepared to possibly take a drug test in the future (that you'll pay for) thanks to state republicans.
And yes, I am pretty fucking mad about the insane shit Florida Republicans have been pulling, and seeing a fucking broke black dude fall for their shit just puts me in full on rage mode.
Lol "I can't get food stamps so I won't vote" should be a third party campaign slogan. It would draw even more people to vote for Obama since repubs could no longer assert that Obama is the food stamp socialist president.
Haven't been in, but have had phone interviews and explained my situation between that and online several times and they always say "If you don't meet the requirements, period, we can't help you. They told me that once they see I don't meet the requirements, they don't give a shit about anything else, lol straight up.
What part of I'm not blaming it on Obama aren't you understanding? I don't think it's his fault, but if it didn't change the first 4 years he's in office, what makes me think he can change it now. Hence, shit will be the same, regardless of it being his fault or the republican's fault, lol.
I don't see where Republicans have me falling for anything. I've looked at both parties, and saw where I would benefit. I saw no benefits in either. Unless they went to Obama's site, hacked his shit and changed his plans to where they showed up differently to me, then I don't see how I fell for their shit, lol.
Obama can't help because the people you're too lazy to go vote against are actively preventing him.
But sure, go ahead, do exactly what they want and refuse to vote for Obama as a result, and in the process not only keep them in office but potentially help Romney come in and fuck you even more.
If they're preventing him now, then how wouldn't they be preventing him later? What good would voting for him do if he's going to be prevented on everything and how does not voting for Obama keep them in office? To my understanding, senate, house, etc. are not dictated in any way shape or form by who I vote or don't vote for for presidentObama can't help because the people you're too lazy to go vote against are actively preventing him.
I think it's more of an issue that voting for Obama is more likely to make it so you either get assistance or keep what you have. Just because you haven't seen improvement in the past 4 years of him being in office does not mean that him getting another 4 years won't do something for you. Compare this to Republicans who seem to actively go out of their way to screw the poor should be enough to turn a "Fuck it. Not gonna vote." into a "Whatever, maybe it'll help if I actually do something even if it hasn't yet." It improves your odds if nothing else.
But Cream, a vote for Obama is one less vote for Romney! If Romney wins by one vote, I'm gonna have to come and find you. >_>
Don't worry, that's never once happened in history (that I know of). You don't have to worry about it now.
But would CS drop any lootz ?
Also, voted for Brobama/Biden. Some lady was standing outside trying to tell people how well Romney could be for this country (Middle aged white woman). She tried to me to vote for him, I then
asked her if she could explain his economic plan and explain how he could flip flop so much. She just starred at me and called me a socialist. Holy fuck Repubs are getting desperate.
I live in Texas.
I already voted.
I voted for Obama.
Obama was pretty good to me, voting Obama.
Education is my primary concern.
Has noone made mention to CS that we don't JUST vote for President on Election Day? If you have issues that are more local to you then you can vote for the US Senator, Congress Representative for your district, State Senator, etc etc etc that line up with YOUR views. The state races tend to be a lot closer than the national level one, and your vote actually matters there.
I'm not gonna jump into the Obama voting thing going on in regards to what you said, but you should still vote for local representation. If you don't give a shit about either Presidential candidate then just toss it at one of the independents.
If you aren't rich and vote Romney or if you have a vagina and vote Romney you're a fucking retard. If you're not in either of those categories and vote Romney you either have no social conscience or are a bigot. Obama is the lesser of two evils. A vote for Republicans is a vote for plutocracy and theocracy.
This is a good point, especially since I just looked up Florida ballot measures for this election. There are 11 of them.
There are 2 for NJ, one of which pertains to $750 million in University upgrades, including the ability for universities to match government grant amounts.
