    Should the election be posponed?

    Sandy has been a huge disaster (understatement) and has drawn a huge amount of attention away from the election, and deservedly so. With so many people displaced, huge areas of the eastern seaboard without power and massive delays in transportation, there are greater immediate concerns. Considering inauguration isn't until January, would postponing the election about a week to give a large section of the country time to recuperate really be that insane?

    Delaying the election would only increase the costs of states/cities already spending hundreds of millions of dollars on the cleanup, as well as the costs of states/cities completely undamaged by Sandy.

    It's not a good idea at all.

    Seeing how nearly every person in the country (by percentage) isn't affected by the storm, no I don't think it should be postponed.

    Didn't even know I could early vote. I always go to the polls early anyway and I've never had to wait.

    There was a sign when I went to vote that listed the "voter rights" and one of them was that someone who is eligible to vote has the right to vote no less than 25 days in advance.

    No, virtually everyone is going to have power by Tuesday. If the hurricane was hitting on Monday or something, then there could be a discussion, but as it stands, no.
