Now your balls hurt.
lol, you can feel the feels he's feeling for his bro
I've had a testicular pain coming out of nowhere while I was studying at the library. Following nights were bad as I wasn't able to sleep lying on my sides. Terrible for someone who keeps turning around in bed.
Went to ER, guy held my balls (yeah!) and physically looked for a tumor, and prescribed me with some antibiotics saying that it could be epydemitis or something (sp).
After a week of this extremely annoying pain, it started getting better. Seen an urologist as well and was told not to worry about it.
Completely recovered after 2~ weeks or so.
AFAIK, torsion would present itself much heavier in terms of pain so its likely nothing to worry. See a specialist if you can, but don't jump onto "omg i'm cancer" bandwagon by searching stuff on the internet.
This guy speaks the truth. I lived in the US for years with an excellent insurance coverage. Yet I had to bother with poor ER care whenever I needed a fast treatment. Money wasn't an issue, heck I'd pay extra money to find a specialist. I kept looking for a specialist and received the usual "doctor is not accepting new patients." "sure, see you in 4 weeks" responses.Your informed statement is no better than that man's uneducated opinion. Who do you think you are?
That aside, even with insurance, I've been told I'll have to wait months to be seen by various specialists. That's with insurance.
In less fortunate times, I waited in a hospital's ER for over twelve hours to be seen—and in an even worse one, I left without being seen at all, leaving behind an ER so packed with people that the majority were forced to stand. I clearly did not die, but I would not be surprised if others, similarly disenchanted, departed from the ER and sacrificed their opportunity to live another day. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if this happens all the time. I'm sure it does.
Do you understand that? Do you realize that trying to seek medical care can become so crushingly depressing that you give up? Do you not grasp that our society has convinced people to worry about their finances over their lives?
That's not even the last tale I've got, although this one is considerably older.
I was taken to the ER. There I sat for hours, growing cold and shivering in the tropical heat (which the air conditioning barely compensated for), and somehow dealing with an excruciating agony. I vomited all over the ER, and my food was not even digested, and I still wasn't seen for what felt like ages.
When I was finally seen, it was determined that I had a kidney stone that I could not pass. My kidney was already infected.
I have worse stories of my own, and there are countless true tragedies you can easily find and read on the Internet, but these are enough to prove the point.
Our system is fucking garbage. You're full of shit if you imply otherwise.
I've never had any life threatening situation but this still doesn't justify. In several parts of the world you can basically get an excellent care on any day you want in world class facilities, there is a reason for all this health tourism (both from US and to US).
On the above example, while I was waiting in the ER to hand my balls to the guy, there was a lady who looked really, really bad begging for an emergency care. She was crying, almost about to faint from pain. They didn't even give a fuck about her, she kept waiting for hours. I actually felt bad for playing with my smartphone while she was suffering like that in front of me and started looking away. Not something you should see in any advanced nation.
US is excellent for very complicated medical operations without a doubt if you've got the resources but for the rest, there are very serious problems. Everybody knows and accepts this, the system is way off being perfect and accepting this should be the first step to get things better.
funny this was bumped. he went to the doctors today. He should find out whats wrong (and if he needs to be neutered) on wednesday.
