The only three people in the discussion for NL Rookie of the Year should have been Bryce Harper, Todd Frazier, and Wade Miley. Harper and Frazier had almost equal offensive seasons (121 and 120 wRC+ respectively), but Harper plays a premium position, is much better defensively, and is 7 years younger than Frazier. It's slightly harder to compare Harper to Miley, but if you compare each to their positional counterparts (4.9 WAR to 4.8 WAR respectively) they had pretty equal seasons as well. But once again, Harper is 7 years younger than Miley. While it certainly is debatable, I think they made the right decision to go with Harper.

Blue Jays get: Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes, John Buck, and Emilio Bonifacio.
Marlins get: Yunel Escobar, Adeiny Hechavarria, Henderson Alvarez, Justin Nicolino, and Jake Marisnick.

That's fucking ridiculous. I'll admit the first two fire sales pissed me off. This third one though actually makes me sick. Need Selig to force him out like they did with McCourt if they want to protect the "integrity" of the game.
