I was shocked when I heard that the Jays made this trade. Jays GM Alex Anthopolous has been getting a lot of heat from the fans for a subpar year. So I'm glad he finally pulled the trigger on a big trade after 3 years of baby steps.

The only part of the trade I don't like is the Jays gave up Hetchverria (sp?). The rest were expendable.

Seriously though, a city getting Loria'd was a verb even before this monstrosity, now it's just a terrible sequel, like Matrix 3 or Final Destination whatever number they're on.

Hechavarria isn't ever going to hit well enough to be an impact player at the Major League level; you didn't lose much by trading him. Nicolino was the best player you gave up, and he's probably not going to be anything more than a serviceable number three for most franchises.
