I'd really hope that someone trying to steal the election through digital voting machines isn't stupid enough to have it display the changed vote. They could just as easily change it without showing you at all.

Well, I voted (provisionally) because I tossed my vote-by-mail ballot, didn't realize that it would mean I had to vote provisionally (because they have to check against the VBM ballots and make sure I didn't vote twice).

Whatever.

In case anyone is wondering, there is a quarantine on exit poll data being released until 5 PM. Some may start to trickle in beforehand, but it's not going to be very informative as it will include early voters polling which typically swings Democratic.

back in 2010 I remember there was one website which let you pick all the races you were interested in and track with automatic updates, including picking which ballot initiatives you were interested in. Is anything like that this time that someone knows of?

I figured out my Facebook password and went to check how many of my friends were making Romney posts. I potentially have one person being passive aggressive about voting for Romney, but she's so vague that she could be passive aggressive in the other direction or about something entirely unrelated. Otherwise people are just urging each other to vote.

I guess the stupid-free feed is my reward for unfriending all the people that aren't actually my friends.

Haha, I have a friend just like that with the passive aggressiveness on voting Romney/GOP.

I do have a number of friends who are vocal about voting for Romney, but almost all of them are Ron Paul supporters who see Obama as a greater evil than Romney.

I try to disagree peacefully with friends. I find there to be much more virtue in not blasting everyone who disagrees due to faulty logic.

I had a friend who had to listen to a mutual friend, in this order:

Admit she voted for Romney.
Admit she thought it was okay he voted for Obama (he never said who he voted for).
Admit she doesn't like talking about politics, sex, or religion.
Admit she thought Obama's kill list was horrifying.
Admit she hated my friend's Facebook jokes about Romney, which she perceived to be anti-Romney.
Admit she thought she could never convince my friend not to vote for Obama (again he still hasn't said who he voted for).
Admit she didn't want to argue about it.
Admit she didn't like the idea that, as a woman, she should vote as a woman.
Have a breakdown.

All the while my friend said absolutely nothing.

Clackamas County today identified the temporary elections worker accused of altering ballots as Deanna Swenson, 55, of the Oregon City area.

She was "relieved of duty immediately after the alleged ballot tampering was discovered," Tim Heider, county spokesman, said in a press release.

Swenson, who is registered as a Republican, also worked previous elections, at least back to 2010, said Scot Sideras, county counsel.

Swenson is accused of filling in the names of Republican candidates on ballots where voters did not make a choice. Tampering with ballots is a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of $125,000.

To this point in the campaign, I can't understand how any woman votes for Romney. Can anyone explain this phenomenon to me?

My friend said she voted for Romney because he doesn't believe in abortions but Obama does.

I really don't understand the logic.
