    Uncharted: Fight for Fortune

When it comes to the gaming industry, it’s somewhat rare for “secret” announcements to actually remain secret. Today, we bring you what appears to be a leak for the next entry in the popular Uncharted series.

Thanks to a listing on the Australian Classification Board, Uncharted: Fight for Fortune has been revealed to the world. Examining the entry, which we’ve snagged the image for you below, you’ll notice that the development is being done by One Loop Games. Glancing at their website, you’ll see that the second secret project could very well be the next Uncharted title.

Next month, the Video Game Awards will be hosted by Spike TV. The significance of the timing would be that a new entry in the Uncharted series has been famously revealed at the award show before.

The odd part about this listing is that the “G” listing doesn’t exactly scream a “true” Uncharted experience. Both entries in the series had been rated “Teen” in the United States, but it’s very likely the “G” may be a placeholder at this point.

The subtitle, Fight for Fortune, seems to lean more towards a downloadable title released via the Playstation Network. It’s likely we could see a multiplayer only title or even a completely different genre for the series.

What is One Loop Games? According to its website, it's a “cutting edge, full-service game development studio”. The team is “small, focused, and driven to developing great games that you'll want to play over and over again”.

It's worked on Star Wars Episode 3, Full Spectrum Warrior and The Saboteur for console, and for mobile God of War: Betrayal, Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile, Spider Man 3, Wheel of Fortune and James Bond: Casino Royale. Perhaps this is why fans are speculating that Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is a mobile spin off, perhaps for PS Mobile.

A cursory glance at Shalom's LinkedIn profile shows he is "currently in deep production on an unannounced title for the PlayStation Vita". Is that Fight for Fortune? He's also got "additional titles in development for mobile, and XBLA/PSN".

As far as I'm aware, we don't have a "Teen" rating in Australia. So if that's a leak/screen grab from an AU source, would be why it's not "Teen".

Uncharted: Fight for Fortune was age-rated in Australia last night, sparking talk of a new entry in Naughty Dog’s series. However, a new age-rating in Brazil has confirmed the nature and format of the game.

NeoGAF members spotted that Uncharted: Fight for Fortune – developed by One Loop Games – has also received classification in Brazil, along with the descriptor ‘casino/card games’. The game has also been listed for PS Vita.

Given the ratings, it'll probably be some form of social game like a CCG or turn-based strategy.

You're not getting folks shooting each other with a "Very Mild" violence rating.

given the rating and that its being developed out of house, inc terrible Uncharted game since the theme alone gave it an adult rating

Hi everyone! I am excited to announce UNCHARTED: Fight for Fortune, an original title coming to the PlayStation Store exclusively for PS Vita this December.

UNCHARTED: Fight for Fortune is an action-adventure turn-based card game featuring the heroes and villains from the UNCHARTED universe. Take a look at the new trailer of the game below to give you an idea of how combat works.

So you’re probably wondering, how exactly does Fight For Fortune work? I’ll explain. The core gameplay in UNCHARTED: Fight for Fortune involves creating a team of Faction cards featuring heroes, villains, and mercenaries from the UNCHARTED universe, then using that team to defeat your opponent while defending yourself from their attacks.

Each Faction card can be equipped with powerful Resource and valuable Fortune cards, which enhance their stats and give them special abilities. Once you’ve selected and equipped a card, it’s time to head into battle! During combat, attacks either reduce the health of opposing Faction cards or the health of your opponent. Defeating an opposing Faction card removes it from play, while reducing the health of your opponent to zero wins you the game.

The rich lore that surrounds the UNCHARTED universe gave us the opportunity to create UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss, complete with lush, artifact-filled environments. With over 300 treasures to be found, we wanted to find a way to allow our fans to delve deeper into the artifact collections and mysteries of the UNCHARTED universe.

Along with the release of UNCHARTED: Fight for Fortune, we will also release a new patch for UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss that will power up the artifacts that you’ve collected for immediate use within Fight for Fortune. Using the artifacts found within Golden Abyss, you can go to battle with other players as well as AI opponents. The game can also be played independently of Golden Abyss, so owning the PS Vita title is not required.

Bend Studio Co-Director John Garvin and I have led the charge on UNCHARTED: Fight for Fortune since the launch of Golden Abyss to take the mobile UNCHARTED experience even further. In addition to our close collaboration with Naughty Dog, we are also pleased to introduce One Loop Games, a team of talented industry veterans who worked closely with us to chart new ground into the UNCHARTED universe.

UNCHARTED: Fight For Fortune is launching December 4 for $4.99 on PS Vita. There will be much more to talk about as we quickly approach the launch date, including some great additional DLC on launch day, so keep your PS Vita handy and get ready to go fortune hunting!

They could have made this pretty awesome if they ripped off one particular other game that had card elements....
