I prefer women closer to my own height, but I also dated a woman half a foot taller than myself for four years. There wasn't a place on either survey to give such information. Is that type of information not pertinent?

The survey is supposed to be short and sweet, so I couldn't get the fine-toothed comb of asking people's dating history through multiple-choice questions. Current and Ideal were what I had to run with. If this were an interview, then yeah, I would have used a response like that. The most important thing is your first sentence, since I'm looking for your preferences more than "this one time..."

This is a different question, but yeah, I ask a lot of questions about height, don't I! I was joking with my adviser that people are going to think I'm overcompensating for being really tall myself.
