People have an ideal mate height? I got to that question and just stopped -- height isn't really something I care about, so I didn't really know how to get past that question. I don't know if a 'I don't care' button for that question would be in any way detrimental to your survey though.

I'm rather shocked that this hasn't been asked yet. Do people seriously care about their mate's height? I might get weirded out with someone at some extreme height, but shit, I sure don't have an ideal number for someone to line up against.

I love the aesthetic design of the survey and the visual aids. Much nicer and cleaner-looking than the surveys I'm used to seeing.

Ah, I stupidly didn't even try that, but isn't skipping the height question kind-of invalidating the crux of your entire survey? I'll run back through it anyway.

I'd rather people honestly skip than try to fudge to please the invisible survey gods, even if it means I can't use all / part of their data.

right now I have responses from three men for every one woman that responds. Women skip fewer questions, and so far have 100% completion rate. Don't know if that's due to fewer female respondents or something else.

If most of your participants are from this forum, then it'll be due to the male-biased demographic here. I assume any data you collect from the Sociology/Psychology department will be from a mostly female sample, so it's a good balance.

It's why you have doubled up / redundant questions for stuff like this, some people think more visually or conceptually.

Yeah thats why I was quick to respond to the form, always hard to get an even distribution. Hopefully facespace will help get more women for your survey.

I may have accidentally skipped a question as I was having trouble with the client a bit, but did I miss a "How important is this to you"-type question? If not, would be interested to hear why you chose not to include that. (I'm not saying your survey is flawed in any way - I'm sure you know a lot more about how to do this kind of thing than I do.)

Because when it comes to men, women have a lot more patience.

Yeah we have to give people an estimate as to the length of the survey time-wise. It was hard to gauge because when I was previewing everything before it would go live it'd take me 2 and a half minutes, but shockingly I was pretty familiar with what was being asked. 10 minutes seemed pretty safe.
