A press release around TGS said the time skip is 5 years.

Really? Shame. 5 years would let them recycle NPCs more easily but it wouldn't fit with the whole world having recovered thing (all green and lush etc.). Maybe they'll go for a cheesy magic-fueled re-growth sequence or something. Plus, those that didn't die would have to do a shit-load of building work to explain away all the new structures...

Personally, two or three hundred years would feel about right.

Lovely CS, but if Dalamud is just Bahamut I'm a bit disappointed tbh.

I wanted Cthulhu-tier mind numbing horrors of the ancient past, not just 1 guy (even if it's bahamut) showing up and saying "yo I'm gonna blow stuff up". Compared to seeing Midgardsormr in the original opening CS I'm just not so wowed by Baha showing up to throw a fit.
