So what are the best places to shop online for black friday? Amazon, Newegg, anything else? Do any of the major retailers have any of their deals online?

Trying to buy a TV. Not sure if I should just be looking online or if I need to get out there thursday evening lol.

And if I do need to get out there to bestbuy, how early should I be there? ;x

Thinking I might just get the Samsung 32" for $248 and call that a deal since Walmart has it for online sale. Doesnt seem worth standing out there.

Last Friday would've been a good start! Seriously though, there have been numerous reports of people already camped out at BB, Target, etc. You didn't mention your exact need for the 32", but amazon.com will have an off brand 32" for $100. http://blackfriday.dealsofamerica.com/

While there are a few good deals out there for 50" tv's, I think I'm going to buy the specific Panasonic or Samsung depending on what I can get for price/value/extras. The reviews for the 40" Toshiba from best buy and the 40" Emerson from Walmart were all more so bad than good. All complaints for both tv's were the same(screen blacks out after a few months).

This so much. Black Friday encompasses the three things I hate the most in one neat little package: shopping, people, and traffic. Fuck that.

I don't have anyone to shop for anyway - my nearest family member lives a cozy 800ish miles away, and I buy stuff for my kids when I go see them. (Shipping to Mexico is no bueno.) So I work until 0500 on Friday (still Thursday night in my book) and I'm going to suffer through the traffic rush on my way home and lock myself in the house until I have to go back to work on Saturday.

My bestbuy shopping is officially done, as the website keeps updating items from sold out to in stock every other hour.

Most items are at their black friday pricing, except for the large ticket items like the dirt cheap tv's.

I work in marketing/advertising for a small retail clothing company... and I just found out that everyone (all office staff) is required to help work the floor this Friday where crazy middle-aged bitches line up around the block every year for a sale that's honestly not much different than what we do every weekend... just hyped. Holy shitlord, I fucking hate my boss.

The only time I have ever left the house on Black Friday was a few years ago when I found a great deal on a TV on Craiglist. Picked it up and went straight back home. The traffic alone made me question if it was worth it.

Wife doesn't know how to delete cookies and browsing history so I see she grabbed up a PS Vita and a new PS3 since my old one is slowly dying. Didn't even ask for these things. It's like she's psychic or something...

I hate going to any store that doesn't conform to the "Men's Guide to Shopping" standard. 1. Go directly to item(s) you want because you know where it is before you enter the store. 2. Pick up said item(s) and proceed directly to check-out. Browsing is prohibited. 3. Pay for item(s) with exact change or credit card for no hassle. 4. Exit store and go home.

Any kind of sale or deal in any store just forces me to not go to that store on that particular day. Crowds make me edgy and when I don't know what I want, I go crazy. Browsing at home is safer, easier, and I got everything on the wish list in about 10 minutes with an extra 20 minutes of "daddy wants a new guitar" time to browse the acoustics.

Have never attempted shopping on Black Friday but I'm gonna attempt to get Halo 4 at Target and Borderlands 2 at Walmart on Thursday night. Gonna be an hour and a half late to Walmart prolly, but I'll be on time to Target for the sale. Worst case scenario I walk away empty handed and I get the experience to know never to attempt this shit again.

Thank god that Amazon is having Dishonored for pc cheap online though, so will at least get something.

You'll probably get a better deal at the end of the model year than on black friday. Show up in the last few days before they're supposed to get the 201-next model year in and make a retardedly lowball offer (3-4k below MSRP) and just walk out if they start giving you lip. They'll most likely be willing to lose a small bit of cash just to get the car off the lot and a manager will probably call you back within a day or two to salvage the sale.

I would wait until the end of the year but between a car crash and a jeep blowing a head gasket, my gf and I are sharing her Geo Metro (fuck, why can't all used cars be this reliable and cheap?). As much as I like the car, it is incredibly inefficient to do all the extra driving and work of only having one vehicle.

Kind of a broad question, but it should be simple enough for people who know what they're talking about: I've been on the market for a new desktop for a while that will be able to run XI and XIV smoothly(I know the latter is more complicated. Not looking for a miracle, just reasonable playability). I know that you ordinarily want to get something like that in pieces for the best results, but is there any way to take advantage of black Friday deals to accomplish a similar goal?
