I've a slight problem.
Ever since I installed Windows 8, I've had a problem with large download files getting corrupted. I can download a 500mb file fine, but problems start happening at above 1gb. When I download a 1080p 40 min show for example, they get corrupted at different places. Sometimes the video just cuts off at 10 min, sometimes at 40 min, 22 min etc. I can redownload the file and it will stop at a different spot, but it almost always gets corrupted at different places.
I've tried using various different download clients (DownThemAll, Download Accelerator Plus) as well as downloading through the browser in Firefox, Waterfox, Chrome and Internet Explorer. All of them cause file corruptions at one point or another.
I've defragmented and cleaned up my hard drive and gotten rid of unneeded files.
Any idea what the problem can be? I'd like to think it's not Windows 8 that causes it, but since it started after Windows 8 was installed, that's what I'm leaning towards. I'm kind of reluctant to reformatting, though, since I get the feeling that if I download and burn a Windows 8 ISO it'll get corrupted...
Any other ideas I can try before I reformat my computer?
