i'm not trying to be a dick or anything i was genuinely curious why your workmates wouldnt know, but it makes sense since you already play the part. what about work forms for taxes and benefits and whatnot, are you currently on paper as a male or female? like when you first got the job and you had to file your paper work what box did you check and do you have to update human resources if you go from male to female?
honestly curious, i'm not for or against transgenders (is that proper usage???) but honestly curious... also i assume you use the female bathroom if you have been coming to work as a female for a while anyway. there's currently some controversy in Canada about a kid in school who is a trans and the administration gave him/her a key to the private bathroom because some people are outraged about a trans being in the wrong bathroom.
haha wow, how did i miss that thread.
Please, continue.
In the middle of this wop thread jeebus.
The only place where I am legally male is my birth certificate. My birth state requires you to have the surgery before allowing you to amend your birth certificate, other states do not have this requirement. I gave that to them, because it was required and I wanted the job. I started working under my birth name, but was always referred to as "Ms. [Birthname]". I then changed my name to my current female name, while working, by submitting the court order and my updated driver's license (new name and updated gender marker approved by the state.) No questions were asked. New ID, new checks, no big deal. Social security has my female name, but are requiring a letter from the doctor performing my surgery after all is said and done to have that amended. I guess that, because I was always perceived to be a woman, that there were never questions, or if people knew, they were professional enough to not comment on another person's personal business.
I don't think "transgenders" is wrong, but it's kind of odd to me. I would say "trans people."
My workplace has single occupancy bathrooms, so that issue doesn't come up. I haven't had problems using the women's bathroom anywhere else, though. (Don't ask me what problems I've found with other women using the women's restroom though, goddamn nasty bitches.)
ya wop was the most recent, but he isn't the only case of the irl being affected through bg. Don't forget way back in the day when elphaba reported a student to his professor for "cheating" by trying to get votes on his paper here. It's not the norm, however.
Women's bathrooms, I have to say, are probably the most disgusting places on the planet. As a rule, I avoid them like the plague. When I was pregnant I had to break that rule several times...was never so happy to be back to normal. I am so flabbergasted at some of the stuff I see in there.
I like the irony that some women pee on the seat in the bathrooms at my work apparently but complain when men do it
I hate anyone peeing on the bathroom seat. With men, it's more of a problem of not lowering the damn seat when they're done. With women, it's their idea that their ass is too holy for the seat, yet never learning to hover correctly, thus spraying urine over everything and fleeing the scene instead of being an adult and cleaning up after their mess. And the presence of the tampon/pad trashcan.![]()
Tampons and maxis everywhere....shit on the floor.
At school, there was writing on the back of this one stall of 2? multiple? women having an argument of the state of the bathroom. It was something like:
"this place is disgusting, did no one teach you ladies how to act in a bathroom?"
"I'll show you disgusting and shit all over the floor!" (yes they did)
etc. etc.
I just, I just don't understand...
These are probably the same women who spend two hours every morning showering, doing their make-up, dressing up their hair, etc.
So, stupid question time:
Does Nirokun! sit or stand while peeing?
And once you have your surgery you should get a bunch of those funnel things for women to pee while standing
Sit. And that sounds messy/gross.
I have the same background and I get either "Mexican" or "What ARE you?" I've lost track of the number of random people who have walked up to me in LA and start conversations in full-speed Spanish. It doesn't help either that I have a Spanish-based given name; Asian is like a curve ball.
Hybrid does have its benefits though; being able to use "white" as a "minority" to get into a San Diego magnet high school was really kind of funny.
Someone in spam went to a lot of trouble to get something I posted there reported to where I work. It wasn't anything malicious about my workplace either, they just wanted to get me fired for putting something stupid on the internet.
TL;DR - The ratio of work to how bad someone can screw up your life will determine how big of a dick someone can be online. Don't put something online that would make your life awkward if it was casually sent to a random customer feedback email address at your company.
Those pee things are pretty cool, I purchased some on uncle sams dime for some females we have, because going on 2 week long route clearances in the mountains of Afghanistan doesn't really lend itself well to pulling over on the side of the IED infested road. They would just stand up in the turrets and wouldn't even have to expose anything and just fill up a water bottle like a regular joe. It even had a sanitary case for storage. They do have neoprene ones, gogirl is the name, but I was informed that those suck, to easy to fuck up and u piss all over yourself.
This is how we fight wars in 2012, with piss funnels.
Sounds like chemical warfare. Breaking the Geneva Convention bro.
