The Tataru scene that seems suspicious to a lot of people struck me as a pretty solid red herring. There was a chunk of plot there before the banquet that seemed like it was playing the game of "ok, you guys know this is the end of the 2.0 storyline and Bad Stuff is going to happen, so we're going to bait you in a few different directions before we actually splatter someone (or a lot of someones, depending on what the follow-through is on the ending)". It reminded me a lot of the last Start Trek TNG movie, for anyone that's into that kind of thing: it had been made clear in advance of the movie that they were going to murder a main character, but it was Super Secret who it was going to be, and a big chunk of the movie was taken up with setting up three of them in standard about-to-die-and-won't-that-be-awful scenarios, and then put all three of them in life or death struggles simultaneously, cutting between them, before finally offing one of them while you rolled your eyes at how contrived the whole thing had been. Tataru's exit at Costa with the awkward "oh, that sounded like I'm leaving forever, tee hee" bit, was straight out of the same playbook.
But speaking of foreshadowing, has anyone else noticed that the Raubahn Triple Triad card is conspicuously vulnerable on one side in particular. Coincidence? HMM.
