Colada is probably a safe bet for the name of Raubahn's other sword, but the game never says so it's just speculation. A reference to El Cid. (A real world Cid, just coincidence I'm sure...) Square seems partial to the Song of Roland when it comes to naming swords, but there's only so many of them in there, so other sources are occasionally necessary.

I don't know what MrHappy's "13" are but Nald'thal is technically 2 gods

He thinks Zodiark is the 13th God. He also tries to make ties between Zodiark and Ivalice.

Ethys is a lot more on-point lore-wise both in game and outside than MrHappy could ever hope to be.

Hate to drum this up again -- concerning Hildibrand Storyline Canon:

Fusionx: Exactly how canon is the Hildibrand storyline? Godbert is on the real, actual Syndicate, but much of the storyline is clearly exaggerated, if not out-right one-directionally canon. Even the NPCs claim some things make no sense.

Koji Fox: And those of us working on those quests might think, but this doesn’t make any sense! Oda-san would like to say that it’s up to the reader how much sense they want to make of it and how they want to look at it.

Yeah, me and Moose raged about it so much he decided to ask Ferne point blank about it lol.

I think Moose's idea of "one-way canon" is the best way to approach the situation and satisfies everyone.

You can call Enkidu a primal, but that doesn't mean a normal joe schmoe can do it. Only within mystical Hidlibrand land does that sort of rule apply.

(Just remember that answer is basically what the XI devs said about facing a certain direction while crafting "if you believe it in your heart..." and we all know that the crafting compass was bullshit.)

Quick summary version

So second last quest it was revealed that Tiamat together with Bahamut moved to Merycidia, but then Allag came, killed Bahamut and imprisoned Tiamat to floating continent.

After that Ascians came to Tiamat and asked her if she wanted to revive Bahamut, to which she by her own words sadly accepted, only to find out that Ascians were giving Allag a way to imprison this soon to be summoned Primal.

You get a pretty good sense of the Ascian's endgame here too, if you weren't already piecing it together.

In the same way that the other primals are "fake." Iceheart doesn't summon the actual Saint Shiva, only a simulacrum; a dreamed up copy of the mythical Shiva. When the moogles summoned King Moggle Mog he was really nothing more than a myth that they brought to life through prayer. They are just exaggerated versions of mythical beings that were hyped up in the minds of their believers.

Bahamut did exist, but the one in Dalamud and T13 was just a representation him in the highest ideals of the Merycidians that prayed for his return. In some ways similar to Gandalf the White or Sephiroth in the North Crater.

I guess what I was thinking was that they share similarities in the sense that Gandalf died but was sent back in a new form that was different and more powerful but retained his memories. Shiva and Bahamut retain the memories of the original entities that their legends are founded on but they've been brought back in more powerful forms. They aren't technically the same, but they might as well be since they are living extensions of the legends they are based on.

Sephiroth also technically died but was able to draw upon Mako energy and the lifestream to reconstruct himself while controlling a small army of followers to do his bidding. All primals come from the aetherial realm in stronger forms while exerting their influence on bands of followers through a form of mind control.

I don't know, they seemed similar to me in some ways. Not great analogies, but Bahamut and Shiva at least share some things as they are both more powerful forms of beings that actually did exist. Their existence was discontinuous and they had to be brought back, but in some sense they extensions of the original.
