Questions that will almost certainly be answered:
- Where are/what happened to the other Scions?
- What's all this Warrior of Darkness stuff about, and why is he on the moon?
- What's up with that Warring Triad? I was kind of shocked to have them be there so massively and blatantly and then not get used during the MSQ. Edit: This appears to come up during the Extreme Primal quest chain.
Questions that will probably be answered (though not necessarily in 3.0-3.x):
- Where (and who) are Midgardsormr's other two children?
- Why were the Ascians teaching the Allagans how to bind/imprison Primals when throughout 2.x they'd been more focused on the repeated summonings of stronger versions of the Primals to drain more aether each time?
Questions that might be answered:
- Why does absolutely no one seem to know where the other Scions are/what happened to them? Particularly Yda and Papalymo, who were last seen fighting in the city itself.
- Was that Elidibus in the Warrior of Darkness scene? I want to say yes, since a VA credit is provided for Elidibus in the credits, and I don't recall him showing up anywhere else in the story. If so, why was he only referred to as "White-robed Ascian" instead of by name? Edit: This is a bug, per
this post, and it is Elidibus.
- Are all Primals simply a reimagined version of some other being? If so, what were beings like Ifrit, Titan, and Leviathan originally?
- Is that the last we'll see of Lahabrea, or is he just swimming around in one of Nidhogg's eyes, biding his time? "White-robed Ascian"'s comments suggest he's gone, but who knows?
- Where did Lucia's magitek armor come from? Has she been keeping it in a secret magitek garage in Ishgard somewhere?
- Why did Ysayle, Thordan, and the Heavens' Ward all disappear when defeated, when Shiva has been previously defeated at least twice (by us in 2.4 and then again by Ravana) without Ysayle disappearing? Is it a matter of using so much power that the summon consumes its own hosts' aether?
Questions that probably won't ever be answered:
- Now we can talk to Hydaelyn again, why can't she just tell us where the other Scions are? Or at least what she told/asked Minfilia to do?
- Given that Igeyorhm said that the route of escape/retreat was still open, why did Lahabrea just sit around, chillin', until Thordan sliced him up and Ascalon (presumably) consumed him?
- Why must villains so frequently do the "My plan is for the greater good, but I can't possibly explain what that plan actually is, or what the specific greater good is!" thing?
Also, not really a question and I'm sure it's been brought up before (especially with the FF5-related characters involved in Sharlayan), but Lahabrea's remarks about the Rejoining near the end of the dungeon brought to mind FF5, where you had the two separated halves of the world that got reunited into their original form as a single world for the second half of the game.
