I was so happy to see Y'shtola come back. So glad everyone is getting new outfits. I was always annoyed that they gave her a maple wand lol.

That said, I get the feeling they are going to kill Y'shtola off at some point. Mostly from Matoya saying that being able to see aether or w/e it is that happened to her eyes is draining her life force. Please no, not y'shtola.

Actually, they should have acknowledged that in general among the dragons.

I really wish they'd done this too, but the clearly wanted to disentangle the actual coil story line from the MSQ. Which... I understand, to an extent. But man, if they don't build off the coil story line in some way, they're really cutting themselves short given this new info.

There's already a bunch of contextual dialogue differences throughout the game, would it be too much to ask that they at least acknowledge that the player defeated Baha and essentially ended the 7th umbral era, jfc.

Kind of a big fucking deal lore-wise, even if they don't want it to be because casuals.

    unrelated:

Iceheart deserved a better sendoff than she got, they completely phoned in that whole CS.

The intro was solid with her falling in and going SSJ mid-flight etc but then the rest of the CS is just a bunch of reused animations and vague action, the fight with Ravana was pretty solid but while watching her last scene I was just like "YOU ALREADY HAVE THE ASSETS FOR HER TO WHIP OUT A BOW THAT SHOOTS GIANT FUCKING ICICLES WHY AREN'T YOU USING THEM". Then she just turns into an icicle and.......slowly nudges into the ship, which apparently does something to it.

I didn't really care for the way she just kinda came out of nowhere either, I feel like there should have been a more appropriate farewell CS prior.

I ended up with a ton of questions by the end of the story, some of which are obviously setting up future events, some of which may just be glossed over:
    Spoiler: show
Questions that will almost certainly be answered:

    - Where are/what happened to the other Scions?
    - What's all this Warrior of Darkness stuff about, and why is he on the moon?
    - What's up with that Warring Triad? I was kind of shocked to have them be there so massively and blatantly and then not get used during the MSQ. Edit: This appears to come up during the Extreme Primal quest chain.

Questions that will probably be answered (though not necessarily in 3.0-3.x):

    - Where (and who) are Midgardsormr's other two children?
    - Why were the Ascians teaching the Allagans how to bind/imprison Primals when throughout 2.x they'd been more focused on the repeated summonings of stronger versions of the Primals to drain more aether each time?

    Questions that might be answered:

    - Why does absolutely no one seem to know where the other Scions are/what happened to them? Particularly Yda and Papalymo, who were last seen fighting in the city itself.
    - Was that Elidibus in the Warrior of Darkness scene? I want to say yes, since a VA credit is provided for Elidibus in the credits, and I don't recall him showing up anywhere else in the story. If so, why was he only referred to as "White-robed Ascian" instead of by name? Edit: This is a bug, per this post, and it is Elidibus.
    - Are all Primals simply a reimagined version of some other being? If so, what were beings like Ifrit, Titan, and Leviathan originally?
    - Is that the last we'll see of Lahabrea, or is he just swimming around in one of Nidhogg's eyes, biding his time? "White-robed Ascian"'s comments suggest he's gone, but who knows?
    - Where did Lucia's magitek armor come from? Has she been keeping it in a secret magitek garage in Ishgard somewhere?
    - Why did Ysayle, Thordan, and the Heavens' Ward all disappear when defeated, when Shiva has been previously defeated at least twice (by us in 2.4 and then again by Ravana) without Ysayle disappearing? Is it a matter of using so much power that the summon consumes its own hosts' aether?

Questions that probably won't ever be answered:

    - Now we can talk to Hydaelyn again, why can't she just tell us where the other Scions are? Or at least what she told/asked Minfilia to do?
    - Given that Igeyorhm said that the route of escape/retreat was still open, why did Lahabrea just sit around, chillin', until Thordan sliced him up and Ascalon (presumably) consumed him?
    - Why must villains so frequently do the "My plan is for the greater good, but I can't possibly explain what that plan actually is, or what the specific greater good is!" thing?

Also, not really a question and I'm sure it's been brought up before (especially with the FF5-related characters involved in Sharlayan), but Lahabrea's remarks about the Rejoining near the end of the dungeon brought to mind FF5, where you had the two separated halves of the world that got reunited into their original form as a single world for the second half of the game.

Had a random question pop into my head while doing the story. When we fought ultima, lahabrea mentions that even the scholars of allag couldn't decipher the heart of sabik or whatever that powered ultima. So where did it come from? Is there an even more advanced civilization than allag?

Something else I didnt get is why they had to go all the way to Azys Lla just for him to carry hodrick(i forgot his name, the first azure drg dude and thordan's son) in a casket just for him to absorb him as a sword.

What I also didnt understand is that he said he absorb King thordan's body to transform in to the Huge armor guy, then turned hodrick w/e into his sword. So where was thordan's body if he absorb him just then?

New job I want based on story spoilers:
    Spoiler: show

Transformation job please! Now that we've seen the knights in The Vault and Iceheart changing their bodies/serving as a vessel akin to summoning a primal, I can't help but think it would be sweet as fuck to be able to do that ourselves. I know it's "forbidden" and "everything we're working to end" but the Warrior of Light has always been able to break the rules in the name of justice and being the super special awesome protagonist.

It was almost certainly shown to them by the Ascians (since Lahabrea is able to cast Ultima from it/using it), and probably came from a civilization that was around during/before one the first two Astral eras.

I don't know if there was supposed to be anything in particular to see, so much as it trying to reinforce the suggestion that there's something different about the WoL.

Haldrath. When you pick up the Bismarck Extreme quest, there's some talk about why they went to Azys Lla (the presence of the Warring Triad being the main factor).

Still waiting for the rest of my static to drag themselves to 60, so I haven't seen the rest of that plot thread yet.

    .
There was definitely a ominous feel to the scene. I assume it was either connected to WoD or actually suggesting there's more to us. They talk about the balance being shifted, but what if it turns out it's not because we also have something dark in ourselves? Although it seems do unlikely seeing how perfect the story depicts us
