No dice today. I wish I could hear what was going on there (even if it is alpha XD )
Those tears were so salty I'd swear they were coming straight from the ocean. The were some many people arguing that since they were the loyalest of customers they deserved to be in the Alpha. There were also a lot of people trying to rationalize/justify how demanding to be in the Alpha wasn't a ridiculous sense of entitlement. I couldn't even make it through the entire thread because it went full retard about a quarter of the way through the first post.
Also agree about being bummed about not getting in the alpha but not worried/mad. I've still got Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, Assassins Creed 3, and a couple of other games to power through, I'm so behind on my stack of games...
gimme dat salty ass link lol

I'm pretty sure the thread got nuked, but I'll look and see if I can find it.
Color me surprised, it didn't get nuked. Happy reading.

All we can do is either have faith that the developers/reps can see their idiocy, or try to drown out their voices with those of reason. You simply cannot talk sense into them... it's just impossible.
I'm kinda hoping the mods are flagging people bitching about not getting in and adding them to a "do not invite" list. Those are not people we need testing the game.
Worry not; the game itself is actually pretty fun. Look forward to see it in a more "ready" state, come beta.
Edit: Its like I told you earlier in the thread, these people don't care about what happens to the game. At all. They didn't care that it failed initially, except for that the end result ended up inconveniencing them because the servers went down for SE to work on 2.0. They don't care about the future of the game either, because, to them, the game was absolutely fine, simply because it has SE on the front and because "its not like WoW!"
Far be it for me to suggest that SE outright throw away their voice (not very cool in a democratic way, man), but I pray to Altana at night that they aren't having second guesses based on the sheer sound-based frequency of which these salty neckbeards whine their asses off.
Perhaps SE can make some sort of side-game that is essentially XI HD with the current 1.0 models, that costs $50 a month to play and offers no content upgrades - forever locked in 2005 - so that these people can finally die in heaven and actually put out enough money to financially support a SE product on their own backs. Then they can leave the rest of us alone that seek to embrace 2013 and what SE can offer in this current generation.
There is cause for celebration in the Waraji household today.
Bad Luck Brian has visited me today because I get an error while trying to login to the lodestone forums. Something about "Temporary Session is invalid. Please try again."
for those of us who had our inboxes filled with nothing but disappointment, how often are they adding testers in an attempt to blow the servers up?
