To me, it was a 9/10 simply because it hasn't happened before from a Japanese developer that I've ever witnessed, and for the fact that he killed them with kindness; he stayed above the idiotic vitriol that so often spills over the keyboard of an enraged fanboy that's horribly afraid of change, as if change scalds the skin and poisons the heart.

If it were a post by a WoW Dev, it'd have been a 2/10, because they've been doing this shit for years. Still though, better late than never, and absolutely better when defending good, solid progress in the face of ignorance and pointless fear.

Well to his credit, this isn't the first time Yoshi got rough with posters. I clearly remember Yoshi basically telling an irate poster that was belittling the dev team to eat a dick (in a much nicer way of course).

Edit: Its like I told you earlier in the thread, these people don't care about what happens to the game. At all. They didn't care that it failed initially, except for that the end result ended up inconveniencing them because the servers went down for SE to work on 2.0. They don't care about the future of the game either, because, to them, the game was absolutely fine, simply because it has SE on the front and because "its not like WoW!"

Far be it for me to suggest that SE outright throw away their voice (not very cool in a democratic way, man), but I pray to Altana at night that they aren't having second guesses based on the sheer sound-based frequency of which these salty neckbeards whine their asses off.

Perhaps SE can make some sort of side-game that is essentially XI HD with the current 1.0 models, that costs $50 a month to play and offers no content upgrades - forever locked in 2005 - so that these people can finally die in heaven and actually put out enough money to financially support a SE product on their own backs. Then they can leave the rest of us alone that seek to embrace 2013 and what SE can offer in this current generation.

I just say those people that want extreme masochism in MMO's suffer from "Special Snowflake Syndrome(SSS)" They don't play the games to have fun, they play it to stroke their ego to compensate the lack of ego IRL. As someone who is getting older, I'm not going to play an MMO that is going to drain 12+ hours per day to get something done. Most people I spoke to that loved 1.0 were mostly people that haven't tried any modern MMO, they went straight from XI where masochistic nature still reigns supreme.

I don't speak for everyone, I speak for a lot though when I say this: With all the MMO's out there, who is going to play and stick past the first month with a MMO where 85-90% of the game revolves around waiting for people to come on or sit in town and shout for groups? Slow paced MMO's have no place in today's market unless you want a catastrophic failure on your hands.
