SE will never do elves right. Never ever. They can only do furries and midgets.

Delicious long neck.

Its a trap, get an axe.
I always called elvaans dhalmelnecks because that's what they resembled. :D
Friend did this a long while back
Spoiler: show
Totally agree, elvaan look exactly like dhalmel to me.
I think that was pretty common back in the day...I've always heard elvaan referred to as that.
FTW. (*'-') Our /rally is indeed the most awesome emote in the game. Close runner ups: /disappointed and /happy. Nobody else jumps in the air as far as I know.
Elvaan walks into a bar one night. The barkeep says, "We don't serve longnecks here!"
The Elvaan says "That's just fine, I prefer it canned."
/rimshot
<_<
>_>
You know it was funny, admit it.
I'd feel dirty playing anything other than an Elvaan. I loved Sandy in 11 with the stuck up pretentious elves. I only started playing 14 in June and I missed out on a lot of the lore, was there anything that gave some back story about the starting areas and what races initially lived there? My buddies all started in Ul'Dah so I did also but it felt strange playing an elvaan in the desert, I would have preferred to start in Gridania.
There wasn't much lore that I recall.
Lore Part 1
In former times, the Elezen were the sole inhabitants of Eorzea, claiming dominion over her. Traditionally a nomadic people, the tall, slender Elezen believed the realm to be theirs by divine right—a gift from the Twelve themselves. Unfortunately, this belief made the eventual appearance of the Hyur in their multitudes akin to an invasion, and a long history of conflict ensued.
Ultimately, the Elezen diverged into the two clans that exist today. The Wildwood Elezen took to the forests in their ongoing fight to protect their homeland against the encroaching Hyur, while the Duskwight Elezen withdrew to caves and sub-terrain, opting instead to avoid all contact with any but their own.
Lore Part 2
The Elezen are a traditionally nomadic people who in former times claimed sole dominion over Eorzea, their presence predating that of the other races. Believing this prominence to be ordained by the gods, they came to develop an esteemed sense of honor and pride.
Their characteristically tall, slim physiques and elongated limbs are part of a successful adaptation to the land’s various environments. Indeed, it is said that their highly sensitive ears can discern the squeak of a field mouse at a distance of up to several malms.
The Elezen perceived the immigration of the Hyur as tantamount to invasion, and as a result the two share a past plagued by warfare. At present, however, they can be seen coexisting peacefully, the exception being the reclusive Duskwight Elezen.
There had better be a slider for neck length come beta or I'm going to be pissed.

Lmao, is that Sims or something?
anyone perpetuating brazilians on the internet is doing it wrong
Not going to make a new thread for this question, could someone answer here or in a PM what Legacy Status is, I thought it was given to anyone who bought the game back before the end and played for 90 days or so. I never paid a subscription fee, but I did play from Pre-order all the way up to the time where they began to charge for the game, am I still eligible for Legacy Status or fucked?
If not, do I get anything for buying the game originally and dealing with all the bullshit till finally throwing up my hands in frustration? lol
You need to have payed for 90 days worth of the game after they started collecting subs, so no you're not eligible.
For just buying the game you get....the game.
Yes, from what we know.
