Haha yeah, it was definitely very slow. If any studio other than shaft had attempted it I probably would have hated it. The complicated dialog, the scenery, the animation, the amazing fanservice with proportional tits. Those were what kept me hooked. The talk down disappointed me, but the closure it gave Senjougahara was good, and what she did gave me enough closure to satisfy me.

That and the doujins that I knew would be produced. You have no idea how often doujins fill that gap of unsatisfaction when the series doesn't go quite the way you wanted it to. And then there's also stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AADp5...fLywXw&index=2

Just got through Maoyuu, Inaba, and Nekomonogatari.

Maoyuu borrows a bit more than I want from the sillier version of the story, but it's still perfectly good.
I don't know if I'll stick with Inaba, but jesus this shit is bonkers.
Nekomonogatari is back on form. The sister service is still ಠ_ಠ so I'll say it's a step below Bakemonogatari, but it's well and above Nisemonogatari. I can't wait for Kizumonogatari, so I can sit down and re-watch the whole thing through.

First episode of Minami-ke Tadaima was awful. Didn't laugh even once, and the characters are basically the same as before. Yawn.

I think this is one of the first times we disagree lol. I enjoyed it because it was more or less the exact same mind-less, simple comedy it's always been. The animation quality is better too and while it's not on the same level as 99% of new anime now-a-days, there was more incredibly subtle and almost non-existent fan-service too

Animation is better, but I think it's just boring to me now. I doubt I'll watch it as it airs but maybe I'll check it out again after the season ends. But seriously, there needs to be some fucking character development already. Or better comedy.

I can understand wanting the plot to progress even a little bit. I haven't read the manga at all, so I dunno if that'll ever happen. But I'm with you in wanting to see some progression at some point because there are at least 3 or 4 little bits of story I would love to see even take 1 step forward haha.

It's when a good deal of action comes back into the plot. Araragi figures out how to use Shinobu's sword the right way and lays the pain on a huge fucking tiger. There's a couple other fights too.

Tamako Market Ep1

Not amazing or anything, but a good time waster in a season devoid of any stand out shows. This show is well made and it's got a lot of charm if you loved the K-ON style humor, but I don't particularly care about it and I'll just leave it at that. As these kinds of shows have really little to them beyond their characters and how they bounce off each other.
